Must rehome my new yorkie, please read .... Hello , I am looking to see if anyone near alabama ,miss, or georgia might be looking for a female yorkie? I have just recently gotten her and due to the fact that shes not getting along with my lexi I am probally going to have to rehome her, I am trying to wait and see if they can become friends but so far its been alot of unfriendliness and I am just afraid this may not work out..If someone is interested please pm me or email me at baleybo@yahoo.com this is NOT a scam and I can send pictures of her,,,shes beautiful...4 years old silver and blue silky hair,,,,shes never been bred, not spayed just never bred. She will need some dental work..I have had her on antibotics but she does need some pulled and a cleaning...Shes utd on shots and good on rabies till feb 2008.Shes 3.5 pounds and very small, probally why she hasnt been breed, she needs to be a pet. She does very well on pads occasionally she will miss but I keep pads in major rooms and she does great...I want to say that she will have to bwe picked up but I am willing to drive some distance to help with the transportation and I am only asking what I paid for her plus the recent vet bill which was 59.00 her fee is actually quiet low but I am not going to post it here...I will be asking some questions to prospective homes because I want whats best for her...NO BREEDERS please...Thanks and sorry so long... |
Can you post a few pictures of her here?? I would love to see your baby. and I am sorry you are having these problems. I know it must be heartbreaking! |
Where in Alabama are you? Can you post more information on where you got her etc? Thanks! |
Just curious about what your rehoming fee for her will be? |
Rehoming fee The rehoming fee is 300.00 dollars for her. I am willing to talk to whom ever gets this little lady and answer any questions that they have about her..I have one YT member whose talking with me now about this baby and hopefully she will have a new home but at this moment shes still available...Thanks |
Would love to see pics! Is she registered? My daughter has a 3 1/2 yr old that is 3.5 lbs and a sweetie! Let us know if you find her a home, GG |
Shes home finally Well I just wanted to post this so everyone would know I have been working extra hard on finding her a new home but I have found that shes finally at home here with me,,,,guess it just took more time than I had expected it too..We went a few days ago to meet a nice lady and Lovie just went balistic she would not have anything to do with her she came back to me instantly, after we got back home I just talked to her and told her we have to all get along or we have to do something else...I suppose she understood me cause after that it did start to get better,,,the girls seem to be better now but theres still a little jealousy but its better shes finally barking and runs to meet me at the door when I get home,,,She has found her a home and she picked it because I was ready to give up on her,,,shes doing much better this isnt to say we dont still have some issues but its much much better...Thanks for all the inquiries and all the pms and all the advice on them getting along from all the yt members... |

I have 3 yorkies. When I got my second, my first tried to eat him. I just got my third, I kid you not, my other two did not "talk" to me for days. It is slow going, but I know from experience they will eventually all be best friends. Hang in there!:animal-pa |
Thanks so much for all the encouragement I was so worried that they would kill each other, things are getting better each day now,,,shes still scared of her shadow and has little trust but its coming along better now,,,she has a vet appointment this thursday for dental cleaning and tooth pulling that needs to be done. I have considered having her spayed but I am not sure how that would affect her at this point ,,,,what are the opinions of other members on spaying her even though I have no male to bother or impregnant her??? Do you think this would help or worsten her fears??? Thanks in advance.. |
Perosnally, I would spay her immediately....With her size, you do not want to take any chances...Say of her accidently getting out and a male getting to her....:( ...I have learned when a female is in heat....She will do just about anyhting to get to a male...and a male will do just about anything to get to her.....Just not worth the risk... Also, I had been told that by spaying her...You help reduce some Cancer issues...And that by spaying, you are lengthening her life span If I am wrong, someone please speak up..... Joyce |
Thanks Joyce,, I have called the vet already today to see if the spay can be done while the teeth are being done but he has not returned my call yet so I am patiently waiting right now to hear from him but if he can not do it at the same time I have decided to get it done after the tooth work has healed.. |
I agree with Joyce. It is in her best interest to be spayed. If anything, it would help her to even out her emotions  I know it sounds corny but it is true, one less thing on her little mind. And you can have her dental work and spay done at the same time. Most people do that. |
Shes gettting spayed today Hey just wanted to write and let everyone know that todays the day that Lovie gets her teeth cleaning and spayed if the vet finds all the blood work indicates shes able to be sedated ,,,,,never knew they could do all the panels and find out if shes able to be sedated...I will keep you all informed on her progress...Pray for her... |
Glad that things are working out for you guys....Prayers for excellent bloodwork and surgery.... Joyce |
Good luck with Lovie's spay today..keep us posted!! Make sure to post some pics of her soon too!! :D Dawn |

Hope all goes well with Lexi. Prayer's coming her way that all will be fine. |
Just checking in to see how Lovie's doing. I hope all went well with her surgery this morning. I'm glad she's doing better with Lexi, as someone else said, it just takes time. I went through it with my girls and belive me I know how you felt! I thought Maggie was gonna kill Bailey, but now they're best of friends. I think that's why they're called tenacious terriers, cuz they can be Holy Terrors when they get mad. Sending prayers!!! |
Has this little girl found a home yet? |

Update Lovie had her dental cleaning and her blood work done she came through with flying colors only had to have 5 teeth pulled and the rest look absolutely georgous..The vet had her on antibotics before dental work but said she still has some infection issues with her mouth and untill it was completely clear that he did not want to spay her at the same time so when I picked her up thursday evening she was not spayed but we are giving antibotics and waiting till no more infection till we do the spaying...She came home and after the first few hours she was fine she appears to have no pain and shes actually loving on lexi and playing alot more... She still gets a little nippy when she gets jealous but shes like a complete new person I suppose her teeth were bothering her alot or maybe the infection had her feeling bad but shes doing lots better now...Thanks to all the people who were wishing things would work out for us.. It appears that it has...I will keep everyone informed of her progress and update of when the spay will be...Just to let you know shes got a better appetioate and she apperas to have put on a few ounces which is good the vet said she could use a little more for her body size... |
Sounds like you are being a very responsible, loving yorkie mommy. I'm gald you decided to keep her. Hope Lovie is doing well and good luck to the both of you. |
am glad to hear it worked out in the end . . hope to see pics soon. thanks for sharing . . |
Final update Well I hate to post this after all the things I have been through with Lovie.. After her dental work and her teeth pulling she came home and a few days later she started acting funny she decided that she would just jump out as my 2 year old granddaughter walked by and she bite her, the following day she tried to bite my other granddaughter whose also 2. I found myself putting her in a crate when the babys were here but that was not fair to her or to the babys who couldnt understand why she had to be caged.. I was able to find her a home locally with a single lady who seems to be doing great with her..This means she is the only dog and the only baby in the house.. I let her go and felt like a failure after having gone from needing to rehome her to decideing not to and then she just went balistic towards my granddaughter...and no the baby was not messing with her she just walked by the couch that lovie was lying on,,,not real sure what the problem was but it was a problem that I could not find a happy medium to..So I decided that the only fair thing for lovie and my grandchildren was to rehome her...I talked to the lady today and she is doing great and adjusting well..Its lonely here but no dogs are fighting and the grandbabys are free to walk around and I dont have to feel fearfull of them being bitten..Just wanted to let you all know what I finally had to do..It was a hard decision but I think in the end even though I will miss her I beleive it was the right one for all involved...Thanks for the ears who listened and all the encouraging emails lovie and I received.. By the way little lexi was very protective of the grandchildren and now she seems more at peace also.. |
I'm so sorry that situation didn't work out. But I'm glad that you found a home for her nearby so that you can continue to keep an eye on her. Glad that Lexi and the grandchildren are doing great tho. |
Awww...I'm sorry after all that you had to find her another home after all! But you did the right thing. Some dogs (animals) just pick up the energy that kids give off and don't know exactly what it is, so they think it's something they need to protect against. I'm really glad you could find a good home for her and she's doing well there. Some things just aren't meant to be........but bless you for having the very best interest at heart for your little one.....it's got to be so hard when there's little children involved! |
