Strap for Home-made Car Seat

My boyfriend and I made Lilly a car seat. I need a strap to hook to the harness and then to the eyelet on the car seat. I know I'm probably going to have to make it but I thought I'd give it a shot to see if you all know of where I could buy one that's like a leash so that it's better made and will withstand a 9 - 10 lb. dog? I've searched on Google but haven't really came up with anything.

If all else fails and I can't find one, I guess I'll just use some heavy duty fabric and stitch it a million times so it'll hold onto my little ham.

Thanks so much for helping me look... you've found exactly what I've found though. I need one that has the metal hook on one end then another metal hook on the other end, so then I'll have a way to hook the strap to her harness and then hook the other end to the eyelet on her car seat. It's so difficult to find something that's so simple.

What if you used a coupler? Connect one end to her harness and the other end to the car seat. Like this one: Adjustable Coupler, 3/8 inch, 14-18 inches long - Dog Supplies

Oh, that would work I think! On those where the circle metal part is, do BOTH straps move around? So that like it could be straight with the circle metal part in the center? Am I being clear on explaining? Thanks.

Yes absolutely. I have that one and I use it with my two and yes it can be completely straight. Make sure you get the smallest one.

If Erin doesn't have what you need I can make a short adjustable tether with snaps at both ends.

What would that look like?! Snaps at both ends? Do you have pictures or anything?

I don't have pics -just imagine a short leash with snaps at both ends and one of those thingies that make them adjustable (like on collars) in the middle. .... I will be glad to take pics tomorrow if you still need a visual .

So it would connect to the harness and to the eyelet with the snaps or with a metal clasp? Pictures would be great if it isn't too much trouble because I'm a very visual person. Thank You!
