SELLERS-Please Read! There have been quite a few instances about selling products on YT that I want to address: 1. Bumping Threads-there are certain rules that need to be followed (see below). Please do not ask other members to bump your threads for you. We have a lot of members selling items and people will see your threads. If you are perusing the for sale section please look past page 1 for all available items. from The Rules: If you are selling any items, you are allowed ONE bump of your thread. When you bump it is up to you. You may answer any questions people have of your product, but any post not related to a question will be considered a bump. Responding to comments on your thread is considered a bump. You may privately message (PM) those members that comment on your thread. Bumping threads for other members is not allowed. If you have multiple fabrics or items or attachments to post, your replies to your thread must be made within ONE HOUR of your initial posting otherwise it will be considered a bump. If you item does not sell, you may post a new thread for it the following week. 2. There are only so many items for our babies that can be made and sold. Unless items are patented anyone can make and sell them. If you make blankets, dresses, shirts, etc. chances are someone else will make them too. We have a lot of incredibly talented people here at YT who make these items. People will have certain favorite sellers and you know what? That's allright. I think instead of arguing with each other about designs perhaps we should just realize how lucky we are to have a variety of people, products, designs, fabrics and prices to choose from. Thanks~ |

Well said! thank you for the gentle reminder. |
good reminder .... |
Thanks Kim.....but did something happen?? I hope I didn't do something wrong?? We use to do arts/crafts fairs all the time and if you had a wonderful idea and sell it out one year, you know that it will be remade and pop up at all the other fairs in the area later on. I am sure it can be aggravating, but that happens and I guess there isn't much that can be done about it.... Course, I can't make "jack", but I do love to shop around with everyone! :justahug: Kim....you can post what is sold in the sell thread right? Even if no one asks what is left?? I need to re-read the rules again! THANKS SO MUCH for allowing all of us crazy Yorkie lovers to do so much here! I really appreciate it! |
Thanks Kim, great reminder! |
Thanks! Great post! I thought it was one bump per week? I also need to re-read! hehe. |
Great reminder :p |
  Great post. |
:bravo: Way to go Kim, very well said - and thank you! |
I agree  I just looked at a site someone is selling the fleece blankets you just tie together-- is she attempting to patent this? She mentions a patent but I don't know on what. I've made twin bed size blankets like those for many people- it only costs 15-25 dollars, depending on the sale of the particular fabric at Jo Ann Fabrics.:) |
I totally agree. |

Great Reminder. Everyone has wonderful Ideas and not many dog items can be patented anymore. Even with a patient all you need is a slight design alteration and the patient no longer pertains. Again - great reminder. I have seen many items that I have made but not promoted that "appear" as someones NEW item. LOL :) Imitation is a form of flattery. - LOL - So they say. :p |
well said and definitely appropriate!!! Choice is what gives us freedom .... |
