The brush has a large hardwood handle and oval head with smooth, rounded hardwood pins. Wood pins stimulate the skin and hair follicles, polish the hair, and distribute natural oils and brushing sprays beautifully. Wood pins are fantastic for fighting or avoiding static.

Your pup will love the feel of this massage brush, and you will love the results. You may even be tempted to borrow the brush to use on yourself.

The brush is 8.5 inches long and made in Germany.

how do these compare to the cc wood pin brushes? i recently bought a small one and love it and was thinking about ordering the larger size one too but now seen this and its a bit cheaper than the one i am getting ready to order so i would love to know how they compare...thanks

I have the CC oblong wood pin brush too. The CC and All Systems wood pins and padded cushions are the same, and they produce the same great results. The only difference is the brush handle. CC's is made of a denser, heavier wood and has a thicker cut where you grip the brush. All Systems' brush is made of a lighter wood and has a thinner grip with a hole for a hook, if you wish to hang the brush.

I will post pictures later today of the 2 brushes side by side.

I have a silkie gal and her hair is like cotton. Murder to keep untangled! I ask my groomer what would be the best brush for her. She said use only a comb. Just wondered if one of these brushes would help with the tangles?

The manufacturer and many users of the brush say it is a great dantangler, the safest and gentlest. I agree that on a clean coat, it is a good detangler. It is not a de-matter by any means.

You may want to wait and see what Carmen in NJ has to say about the wood pin brush. She has a girl with a softer coat and has been looking for the perfect brush.

For detangling, I would recommend trying an ISINIS brush (available on Amazon), and a rat tail comb (available from YT user Jenny, aka mimimomo, at her site toplinepet.com. :)

We love our new brush!! It came super fast too, Kristin. :)

I used it on myself before trying it on the munchkins.....now I may need to order another just for me. :D
