Can you make me a Costume?? Hey callin all you crafty geinuses (sp), I posted on anohter thread but decided to post a separate one .. I would like to commission someone to make me a Cookie Monster costume for Chicle this Halloween .. ive been looking for a [place where i can buy one but to no avail.. so i was wondering if i can get one of you to make one for me ... i am willing to pay for the whole thing .. just want it done really nice and well tailored.. i will provide all the measurements and all other info needed.. just pm me or email me at laflaca_nyc@yahoo.com thanks again .. :) |

Just another idea... you could look for a fuzzy blue knitted sweater (like an eyelash sweater) with a matching little beenie hat and attach big eye balls to it. I don't knit but you might try searching ebay and the net. |
well last time i measured him hes like 12" long .. from neck to tail .. and he weighs about 7 lbs.. thanks ;) i thought that looked perfect.. im thinking something like a hood.. so that it will stay .. not sure if a hat like will stay .. Sam (Luzangela428) is helping me look at stuff and she found this cool cookie monster hat.. wehre its only the eyes.. and you tie it around the head.. but i dunno how well Chicle will take wearing that lol .. |

I am already super busy with orders from my website and special orders from people(plus I have to get caught up because I am going on vacation in less than a month :D ) so I apologize because I wont be able to make it. But I can send you some of the fabric if you find someone else who can make it. Its bright blue with hints of yellow but basically its cookie monster blue. Its funny becasue I make a coat out of it on my website and even my friend that helps me out refers to it as the cookie monster coat. (it is long pile fur so it can be kinda hard to work with)Heres a photo of the coat I make out of it so you can get an idea: |
HAAAAAAAAA I know where you can get a fluffy furry baby blue sweater that would be perfect and then you only have to come up with the head part. HEYYYYYYYYYYY I was thinking.. maybe you could buy 2 sweaters and use one for wearing and the other to make a hood out of and attach the eyes like was mentioned. Ok so now I'm thinking maybe I could give it a go???????? |

wow that pic of the fur fabric is good... i was thinking of a deeper blue but i cnat be a choser right about now ... im a beggar lol .. how much for the fabric .. i dont mind if its not a fool body .. i mean esp. if the furfab is thick i dont want him to suffocate or be too warm .. who knows what temp we will be having for halloween... yorkieangel?? what ideas do you have ?? and if ur gamed are u willing to take up my offer?? thanks megans.. i doing this all late .. imma doof... lol |
WEll the sweaters i saw are the same blue as the fabric you were offered(or looked like it anyway. LOL.. I actually blew up my sewing machine awhile back but I will see if I can come up with something by hand. Keep looking and I will see what happens on my end |

If you just want a simple coat like the one Shana has pictured, I think I can do it for you. I will probably get it to you just in the nick of time though. If you want me to do it, you can have Shana send the fabric to me. I'll charge you a total of $10 to sew it together with a hood and put eyes on it and mail it to you. Let me know. I have no idea where to get eyes, but I'll find something! Shana would the fabric need to be lined? What kind of back is it? As that would be much easier and faster not to line it! |
