Oooh, I think I will place an order when I get home from work! Meg still has 4 or 5 sticks (probably 3-4 months of happy chewing), but you can never have too many bully sticks.

Or can you... do they have a limited shelf life? :confused:

No, they will store for a very long time.
You can always stick the extras in the freezer to keep them safe and fresh. :)

I placed a 12" stick in the freezer when Bud was finished like suggested.
When I took it out and gave it to him the next day he was stripping
it down much like the outer layer of corn on the cob.
Could this have been from freezing it? I had to throw it away
because he was not chewing it just stripping long pieces from it.
I now keep it in the refrigerator in a zip lock bag. Is that alright?

Ordered and love the braided sticks even better. They last longer
too.

Interesting . . . I've never heard of a bully stick being stripped like corn on the cob. :p Perhaps it could've been from freezing it, but I haven't ever had that happen.
It is fine to keep them refrigerated in a zip lock bag.

carol, this has happened to me before too when i put them in the freezer (not sure if it was the ones i bought from AMD or if they were merrick ones - i forget :p ). i thought it was just me. but after they got done tearing strips off, they did not want to chew on it that much :( i wonder why this happened to us :confused:

I've had the problem of bullies being stripped off before, but they were a different brand, they stunk too.

Zoey rips strips off the fresh bullies...every type she's had...then she chews the strips a while to soften them. Then it's down the hatch. She eats every last bit.

This girl has a voracious appetite. She'd weigh twice her 4-1/2 lbs, if I'd let her... :D

I ordered some last week and they got here pretty quick. My dogs love them. Daisy is 2lbs. and that is the only thing she will protect when the other 2 get around her. She acts like she is going to eat them alive. :D She loves her bully stick.

Do you carry bully sticks from bores or all they all from cattle? My Ivan gets sick if he eats beef.

does it matter what size bullysticks you get? the smaller the dog the smaller the size correct? how often do they last?

Yes, and it also depends on how aggressive your dog chews. I'd recommend trying the 6.5" stick first, and then you can judge whether that is a good size or if you need a bigger or smaller stick.

I bought both the 5" and the 6.5" thicker version and both my 4 lb Phoebe and my 8 lb Chi, Pixie, prefer the larger 6.5 size. I think they like the challenge of the thicker stick...:D
