9 months later my girls are still using their food and water station. I ts nice that I'm not constantly washing the yorkie beard anymore! she never gets it wet anymore! And this waterbottle gives off PLENTY of water! Its not chincy at all... so they girls get their fair share! The bottle is ajustable on its pole as well... so you can ajust the height. I really am very happy with it!

Kathryn, how does the water bottle work. I've never had one like that. How do they get it out?

I looks to me as its a sprout. So she would have to lick it to get the water to come out. Like the gerbel or rabbit water bottles. they have to lick the ball to move it so the water comes out.. thats what it looks like to me..

At the verry bottom there is a little catch bowl under the water bottle to catch any drips, which is NICE! I am a freak about stuff on the floor! :rolleyes: And the bottle is just like a small animal waterbottle, EXCEPT that the "ball" or roller is larger and lets more water out for our babies!

Water bottles are used alot with show dogs to keep their coats clean, espcially with bearded breeds. And it also keeps their water clean! I like the smaller bottle cause it does NOT encourage you to leave it there for days to get icky! You chould be changing it out every day! FRESH WATER! Mmmmmm. I take it and fill it with my filteres water from my fridge, its ice cold and the girls go nuts!

** Food! UGH after 2 years of searching, reading, recalls, and scares... I finally rested on... Now be prepared folks! CostCo's Lamb and rice!:eek: Wholelistic dog journal listed it amoung the top 10 and raved... I flipped a bag over(no easy task) and read the contents... WOW! You know those "RATE YOUR FOOD" calculators... This food comes out on top every time, ot at least in the top 5. I'm thrilled with it and If you look at my girls... I free feed, they are healthy tone and my vet is forever impredded with them!

After their spay this week, they told me to go home and feed 1/2 of their regular portion of food... :confused: I asked if I was suppoded to go home and break all of their kibble in half? LOL :p

The feeder holds ablout 4 to 5 days of food depending on the time of year... Some times they just eat MORE! and it seems to go quicker.. know what I mean?? Other times less.

I only have 9 of them left... and 5 of those are pending replys in PM's... so maybe only 4... :)

Unless you want it set on free for all... 24/7 there is no way to control it otherwise. Your babies would have to controll themselves. lol I know lots who simply cannot! They would eat their way to china if you let them! :p

Awww darn it - I didn't even get to see a picture :( Can someone still post it? I can't get on it here - its blocked. I have to have special feeders for my cleft pallet Chi - I wanted to see if they would work for her. maybe I can google them and see if they are available somewhere?

Can you tell us the name of the company you ordered these from so that maybe the ones who missed out can have a chance at getting them?

aw man!! i just got home from work and saw this post. i would LOVE to have 1 of those. morgan free feeds and self regulates so i don't have to worry about her eating too much and she already drinks out of a water bottle so this would be a great option. :( i missed it

I was using this after talking with Kathryn about it and it was almost same same as the Dick VP I was usuing. My issue is it's such a big bag that I don't know that I'd go through it fast enough before it might go bad. ????

I did not think of that. I guess dry food can go bad. never thought of that even.

The bag must be big because she said it was heavy to turn over.

Her dogs surely seemed to love the food.

yes Alphy liked it too but at the time I was feeding it, I also had a Golden Retriever.

:) Glad to have helped..I wish I could use this style, but I Home cook for my furkids...... I do use water bottles though.. My furkids really like them.. Water stays clean.. and their faces stay fresh..:)
