Non yorkietalk sellers It kinda irks me when people join YT just to sell us stuff and then it's fake or not really good quality, some of them don't even have yorkies! The members that have stores and are active members don't bother me at all but these that join to advertise get under my skin. Is it just me?? Am I being unreasonable? |
I totally agree.. you see people with two posts, and they are only to see their stuff!!.. i can't stand that either. But on the other hand... they might be nice genuine people who really like yorkie talk! :) |
Yah as long as their posts are not clotting up the forum, I don't mind... |
I agree, I feel much more confortable buying from someone who is a talker and not just here to sell their stuff!! |

I actually agree and I am a seller. But who knows, they may realize how great this forum is and start chatting with us. But ya if they dont even have a yorkie and they dont plan on hanging out in this forum then thats just kinda annoying. Thats just pure soliciting. |
I much rather buy from people I speak to on here than a stranger. At least I know that the people on here really do care for their furbabies. |
It bothers me when someone just join to sell something and doesnt participate at all. If it doesnt clotted the forum is ok, but when all the post are to try to sell something that is a bit annoying. I agreed I feel more comfortable buying from an active member. [I thought that was part of YT rules---that nobody could peddle their goods.] I think that if they only post in the For sale and wanted forum is ok. When they post on other threads then they get deleted. I can be wrong. |

I think marie is right on this bc this was a new rule... They can join just to sell as long as they don't sell outside of the "For Sale" section. They can sell, but we don't have to buy! :D |
You could always look at the number of posts the seller has in the forum and decide whether you want to deal with that particular vendor. Although . . . I admit, it irks me when someone joins only to peddle their wares. |
I am glad this forum is set up to allow us to "shop" as we wish. It is well organized and set up such that we know who the "regulars" are with online stores without it being "crammed down our thraots constantly" and yet we can also choose from stores where the members are not "regulars" here but they still have great stuff. Soem people are just too busy or are smart enough to know how addited these forums are once they get started and stay away for that reason! :D I know it helps admin so I even click on the ads across the top a couple of times a day! I know, sick, huh? |
Kim you are so funny! Stitches you are hilarious! |
Hello, my name is Jane and I'm the owner of "chloescustomharness". I feel strongly that I'am the "seller" that you may be referring to. After reading the past few posts, it is apparent that I have "offended" you guys, for this I sincerely apologize. This however, was never my intention. I realize my mistake was assuming you would by from a "stranger". Who does not happen to own a Yorkie?? Please let me explain. I happen to love and adore all breeds of dogs, small and large. I'm owned by three Chihuahuas who are deeply loved, spoiled, kissed, hugged, and very well cared for. I had the same problem you guys have in finding cute, well made tiny clothes and harnesses for tiny dogs. Especially for males. That is why I started designing and making my own. When I would take my "Chloe" out in public with one of the harnesses I made, someone would always ask me "where did you get that! People loved them! My friend who owns two Yorkies incouraged me to start my own business. The thing is, the majority of my customers are YORKIE OWNERS. It made since to me to post on a Yorkie Forum. I wanted to offer a adorable well made product for a tiny, hard to fit dog. I never intended to become a regular YT since I dont own a Yorkie. I did make the mistake of posting incorrectly in the Introductory Section. However, I asked the Moderator to remove it, so that I could post in the "Products For Sale" section. I did not realize you had to own a Yorkie to do so? Again, I'm sorry for any offence. sincerely, Jane C "Bruisersmom" Moderators feel free to remove my Post...... |
 Kudos to you! I think that you are very brave to stand up and give your part of the story. After all. I do believe that any YTers can make up their minds if they need something that some one has for sale. |
