Hair accessories I got the sweetest barrettes with polka dotted bows last night at Walmart in the baby section. They have the cutest barrettes at Walmart. I have so many barrettes for Gracie that I think I need to get a special box to put them in. I think a pink ballerina jewelery box will do. Back to Walmart! |
I bought a ceramic treat jar that is really pretty pink and says Princess on it for all of Preslees bows. |
I have a special box for all of (well some of, all of it won't fit) Reagan's hair stuff. It's leather (not real I'm sure) but its really pretty and has a place to put a picture on top. I'm waiting for a perfect black and white picture to put on it. I also made one of those holders out of a long piece of ribbon that you hang on the wall and fasten the bows to. It works great too, that way I can see all the bows. |
Hey, great idea! I think I will have to go to Walmart now to get a 'bow box' for Lily. How fun!!!! |
I found the sweetest little jewelry box this weekend at Walmart. It is hot pink and when you open it a pink butterfly goes round and round and a lovely little song plays. I was looking for a pink ballerina jewelry box to hold Gracie's bows and her new tiara, but could not find one. The one I got works nicely. Had compartments. It holds her new strand of pearls too. She saw a show on TV about a puppy that got a $45,000 pair of diamond earrings and then she just HAD to have somethingfancy too. We bought her the pearls at Target and told her they were from Tiffanys. She bought it! Shhh, don't tell Gracie. PS, she thinks the tiarra is real too... |
I get all of Maggie's hair decorations in the baby section of walmart too. Then I went up to the office supply section, (at Walmart) and got this three drawer plastic storage unit. I put her hair stuff in one drawer, leashes in another, and grooming supplies in the third drawer. Comes in white or black and works great. |
Oh, no! Now I have to go check out Walmart for those bows! I go in Target or Walmart for one $4. small thing and walk out with ten things and $50 or $100 less in my pocket. |
have you tried the new "scuncies" clips? They have some kind of rubber on one part of them and don't slip, even in Sabrina's thinner hair. These are the kind that you just bend to pop open. They come in "baby" sizes. I got both. Just love them and so does Sabrina. I cannot get a rubber band in her hair any way whatsomever. My fingers don't work that way! |
Is Scuncies the actual name of the clip? Where did you get them? |
Did you get them in walmart?> What are they called? |
SCUNCI - that's how it's spelled - found my card and I got mine at CVS pharmacy - (large ones) and the small ones I got at Walmart. This is some brand name that has a lot of those pony tail holders and pretty hair stuff. Sabrina's hair is just thin, and my fingers just don't work well enough anymore to do bands. These come in pretty colors and even have sparkles in them. I think you'll like them. She can't shake them out and can't pull them out, but they don't pull her hair either so far. Sabrina's mom |
Oh, Oh - I forgot It says "no slip grip" on the card. Hope this helps and you like them as much as I do. |

I just got the cutest butterfly barrettes from walmart yesterday. Pink butterflies with gems for the wings and body. They are so cute. |
Lida has some of those! Mom got them at Walmart, right now she doesn't have enough hair to fill one though. I found some really tiny squeeze clips, about 1/4 inch wide. You squeeze them open and clip them around the top knot, they are too cute but only come in basic earth colors. I can put them on her now and they stay for a little while. A friend gave me a tip on putting rubber bands in Lida's hair. Get a pair of hemostats and put the band on the hemos, gather up the hair and hold it in place with the end of the hemos, then just slip the rubber band down onto the hair. It works really good, she use to raise yorkies and that's how she got the bands in their hair! Just thought I'd pass it along. Windy and Lida Rose |
