We use to use a playpen for Meka... Until one day, we came home to find her sitting right at the door waiting for us... She had climed out of her pen (one side was like a "mesh" material) and had been out running wild most of the day. Think she was only happy to see us that day, cause she was unable to get to her water bowl that was in the pen... So, some good thought should go into what model to buy.... From what I've read, xpens seem to be most popular.... Hope this helps 8) |
This pen is AWESOME http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...earch&keepsr=1 This is what I use, it's awesome, Vinnie can't jump out, there are multiple ways you can shape it to fit in spaces, AND it easily comes apart at each joint, so if you want to take a panel or two out you can!!! We originally pee pad trained, after about a month in we put the pad in the pen instead of by the door, and i think it was just the right amount of privacy for him, he trained instantly! I don't have to feel bad about leaving for work, he goes in with food, water, toys, bed and a pad just in case, i don't want him holding it, and he just loves it, it's like his room! PLUS the panels can be used to make barricades if you want to keep them off furniture or out of rooms! |
I bought this today! 2 Attachment(s) Quote:

I found an older baby playpen for sale on a list similar to freecycle. It is a 36 x 36 size. It worked great for 2 weeks.....Brody learned he could clear the side easily. I mean he does not even touch the side and over and out he is.....SO I am now thinking Xpen..... Let us know how you guys are doing with your pens.... |

How does FREECYCLE work? I signed up for it, but each time I see something I want, I look further down and it already has been given away. I use this play yard .. $40.00 from either Target or Walmart |
I looked for a play pen in 2nd hand stores- ended up getting one at Wal-mart-for about $50- he has not jumped out yet- and he is about 4 1/2 lbs- not tiny, but not huge!I am home most of the time though. It folds up, has a tote bage w/ it-and so far it has held up fine! I think it is just what you like the most- and what works in your home! |
