I was getting ready to go online to search for a dog tag for Sophie; you know the kind that lists the dog's name and address. Does anyone have any recommendations? I probably need to find one designed for small dogs, right? I am also interested in learning more about microchips. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I am looking for a nice unique small dog tag too!!!
Bella does have a microchip, the breeder did it. It is between her shoulder blades and you can't even feel it. Out vet has the number as well as we do too! We also submitted the number on our AKC registration. I think it's a great idea in case they ever get loose

Not that ours is unique, b/c it's not....but it's small and it suits Sully just fine - we got it made at Wal-Mart for $4 in a little machine. On it is his name, address and our phone number.

You just can't beat 4 bucks, LOL!

Oh yeah, I think I remember seeing one of those tag machines years ago. I'll call Wal-Mart and see if they still have it. Thanks.

At most petcos there are machines that make dog tags that say name phone # and address. It is like 10 $ and they come in all different sizes we got one for bandit from there and just got one for tucker from there.

Found these on ebay only $799 and they are engraved. You get to pick the color rhinestones too!!

You can find lots of tags on Ebay. I got these ones because I needed 3 and they have a Buy 2 get 1 free plus they will engrave the bag of the tag for you too! You can have the same or different info on the back of the tags.

http://www.boomerangtags.com/ has stainless steel tags that last forever for 6.99 which is cheaper than the ones you can make at Petco. You can also do double sided tags on this site. I know there really aren't all that many choices, but I really like the plain ole bone.

I recently ordered 5 id tags, double sided at that, and they arrived within a week in regular mail. I highly recommend this estore for pet id tags.

They also have the other type tags; plastic, brass, etc, I just don't know anything about those from Boomerang...I ordered stainless steel.

I got mine at petco as well but I have seen the same machine at walmart as well. I am getting macy microchipped as well it's great to have as added insurance in case your dog runs off and loses her tags. The first thing shelters do is check for that microchip.

I got my girls pink hearts at Petco out of one of the machines, and then I glued fuschia swarovski crystals around the edges with jewelers glue. They are holding up very well.

I Bought those for Oreo & Ginger and they are perfect! lol.. I don't like the tapping sound the regular ID tags have since it dangles and that one is perfect. and it's cheap too
