| Just use a slicker brush and a metal comb. Also after a shampoo use a good conditioner. It's important at keeping the mats from forming, but you still need to brush each day. I brush them right after their breakfast. |

| Coat Handler makes a good detangler that you can use. I've also hear that Cowboy Magic is great for tangles...You might need to order a new comb online?? I have found several great things on www.needsndesires.com We ordered the CC brush and Coat Handler products from there and were very happy with their service.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | If cost is a consideration with brushes and combs, #1 All Systems has very good pin brushes and combs at reasonable prices. I use Crown Royale finishing spray before brushing, tangles will brush right out and there is no build up of proudct.

| I have a comb! Stainless steel combs work great! If you want a good qualiity inexpensive comb I have one left here, that the person never paid for. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ss+steel+combs It is item #11 on post #4, the dual sided comb with handle. PM me if you are interested.

| I have the combs that LittleBit mentioned above...I love them. Mojo (thank goodness) doesn't mat, but this comb is perfect for the knots he sometimes gets from pulling his topknot back. I have a slicker brush and have never used it, but I heard they work well. We also have a natural boar bristle brush that I truly love!!! I didn't really like the cowboy magic detangling solution much.....maybe because Mojo has never been matted (I don't know)...but that would be worth a try. I bought some stuff from http://sassypup.net call Fur Butter or Fur Worse...I love it! You could probably do a search on here and find all sorts of ideas to try. There is plushpuppy (they make a lot of good stuff), some people have mentioned Aussie 3min Miracle Conditioner and Pantene Smooth/Silk (in green labeled bottle)...what else has been mentioned.....Royal Treatment Honey Oatmeal Spray Conditioner and Bio-Groom silk Cream Rinse conditioner. Good Luck!
