You don't need to feed a dog, dog food in order for it to have healthy strong teeth. Feed good neutritional "real" food and give them a nice femur bone to chew on. Replace the bone about every three days. |
Thank you all very much!! I will switch her to Royal Canin hopefully it works well for my little Mia!! |

Hope it works for you. Remember you can feed the most expensive, best quality food and if they don't it eat, what good is it. |
Question... Where do you get the femur bone??? sorry to sound so clueless....:D Quote:

My dogs eat the Nutro Natural. While I feed pups the RC baby/puppy, the adults eat the Nutro. Gracie had horrible build up on her teeth from the RC and has been fine since we've been on Nutro. I guess it just depends on the dog. |
My Rylee was put on royal canin her 1st vet appt after we got her from the breeder. ...However she has had lots of stomach problems. 2 vet visits. They say it's cause she was being Givin ceasar soft food 1 per day with royal. So last week they put her on meds and gave her special recovery food for her belly....told me no more ceasar and to wheen her back on royle. So yesterday gave her 1/2 a royal serving which she ate in between her special food. 2 hrs later she started feeling like cap again!! I feel like it's the royal but my vet doesn't see it. |
Zoey ate raw food for four years and her first dental was at three years. That was about eight months ago. She has been on RC rx diet (canned & kibble) for about five months now. I noticed the other day that tarter has built up on thr teeth. Wow! It didn't take long for this to happen with the canned food. Wish she could still eat raw. |

I did see they have hard food too. Because she was sick we went with the soft food....but me and my husband were talking about this yesterday and I will be going to get the hard food tomorrow |
Yes, I know as I mentioned in my post that she gets canned & kibble. The kibble is pretty good sized and her teeth are so tiny. I guess I could break down the bits into smaller pieces. |

I have a toothbrush and paste for her. I just have to stop being lazy and start using them. Don't want to highjack this thread. :) |
Our 4-month old Ava has been on RC puppy ever since we got her last February. On her 3rd month however, we noticed that she seemed not to be touching her food anymore and would only drink milk on her meals. We decided to mix the RC with 1 spoonful of starter mousse and it seemed to do the trick for now. Someone told me to give ProPac small breed puppy a try. Can anyone give me an advice on this product? Thanks! |

Strudel just came back from a checkup and he's due for a dental already!!! Yes going to start daily brushing after that. |
We are using RC for Yorkshire puppy's, our Willow eats great and seems to be doing beautiful with it. |
