It's against ebays rules to sell "fakes" Thank GOD, as they may try to pass them off as authentic and someone may get stuck paying hundreds for a cheap knockoff that will only hold up for about a month |
Please don't get a fake purse/carrier. There's evidence supporting that the knock-off business helps fund terrorists, and helped fund 9/11. (I DID learn something in my trade class!) |

if you want a nice authentic carrier, that is designer and not outrageously priced, try petflys or juicy. I have both and they are my favorites. |
One of my favorite websites http://www.knowknockoffs.com/ added: Ten reasons why you shouldn't buy a fake bag: 1. It is illegal; selling or buying more than two bags is considered trafficking. 2.Counterfeiters steal intellectual property and violate copyright laws. 3.Counterfeit factories use forced child labor and sweatshops. 4.Evidence indicates that illegal counterfeiters funnel money to organized crime and terrorists, including Al-Qaeda. 5.The FBI considers it a serious crime with implications for public safety and security. 6.Counterfeiters do not follow environmental regulations or safety guidelines. 7.Counterfeiting is detrimental to the United States economy and all of us. Business losses to illegal counterfeits are estimated to exceed $250 billion per year. 8.Fake bags are made with poor quality materials and inferior craftsmanship. Counterfeiters often use the cheapest material available and no quality control. 9.Counterfeits are overpriced! A cheap thrill shouldn't cost more than $30. 10.Don't fake it! More people recognize knockoffs than you realize. Please read the supporting articles in the links provided below. |

That first coach screams FAKE, ugh the other two coach's are really nice I have more to say but I best not, I'm going to be quiet I said my main points already |
Rae Rae and Grayson's mom -- thanks for posting about designer fakes $$ being funneled into terrorism. My first reaction was -- really?? But I figured you all must have heard something so I did some googling and sure enough! There are lots of reputable references showing that links have been found to both terrorism and organized crime. So, buying the fakes is supporting terrorism and organized crime. I never thought of that. I don't own any fakes but have to admit I had considered looking for one. I like the Coach bag but could not quite justify the $$. I will never consider a fake now. Thanks for the education! I guess it is a good moral lesson. Little wrongs can definately grow to be a BIG wrong. I knew it would not be a good idea to buy a fake as that would be cheating a big company out of their brand recognition. But when looking at a $600 bag vs a $100 bag -- greed tries to weasel in. Knowing that the money eventually finds its way into terror and crime pockets, will keep me from making the mistake. |

It's good to know that our postings helped atleast 1 person reconsider fakes! I only have one fake purse, it's a prada that my grandma bought for me, but since my grandma bought it, I'm not gonna get rid of it or anything. It says prada on it, but really small and you can't tell. This was also a few years ago when I got it, and was uninformed about it. I just still don't understand how anyone could want a fake after learning that they help fund terrorism, who cares if it matches your shoes or not! I don't know, I'm trying to help this girl w/ other options, but if she wants her money to go into bad hands, theres really nothing no one can do to stop her. Then there's people who buy fakes because they can't afford the real designer. My say is, if you can't afford it, you can't afford it. Why try to pretend you can? There are tons of purses I wish I could have, but I can't, so I'm not gonna get fake ones, I'll just settle for what I can afford. |
Fakes and just that PLEASE PLEASE dont buy a fake anything!!!!! they don't last and it supports people who want nothing but your money!!!!!!! If you cant afford the real thing try Vera Bradley and make it your own it can be done Good Luck !!! KEEP it REAL:thumbup: |
it offends me that u guys say that buying fakes helps fund crime cause i used to sell fakes in the alleys of la to make a living i had my own shop and everything i had to buy the bags from china then resell them here and try to make some profit i would just call up some old friends but i no longer have there numbers thats why im posting okay so stop being rude im open to all ur opinions okay |

So you think your selling fake bags from China was okay and doesnt possibly fund crime? First off, if they are knockoffs then that means that someone stole someone else design in order to profit off their name & reputation that they worked very hard to establish- did they not? Also if they were made in china, do you think it was a bunch of middle aged adults working for $10 and hour that made those bags? No. And is it legal for you to sell knock offs in the USA? No! THUS, it is a crime. Im sorry the truth offends you. |
Everyone will have their own opinion about knockoffs. Why is it ok for someone to make a inspired Lv item with the lV 's on the item but think its okay beecause it is said to be INSPIRED. its still stealing the logo. there are alot of people that have them so what big deal even Paris hilton has been known to sport designer replicas. |

Also, Paris Hilton has been known to drive under the influence, does that make it right? |

But I so agree with you on everything else :) Designers work hard to establish their names and logos, and then they get ruined by a bunch of copycats. It's really sad. It like someone using your term paper and getting an A with it, when your the one who worked your butt of on it. Did anyone else catch that first she wants Coach or LV, but now she's saying the only reason she wants a fake is because Coach doesn't make one to match her shoes??? Then what was the reason for the LV one? |
