gate/playpen that attaches to the wall? I'm looking for a gate type thing, or playpen that attaches to the wall by screws or something of the sort. It sort of needs to look like a half circle, because it needs to be able to butt up against my doggy door and create a little play area for my boys (boys!!). I want it to attach to the wall. Does anyone have any ideas??? |
How about this one? http://www.kidco.com/main.taf?erube_....gateDetails=1 Amazon has it listed for about $100. |
Wish I had the answer to this one too. I myself need a gate (a wall practically) to seperate a room. My biggest problem is it has to be 17 feet long!!! I bought a plastic x-pen and stretched it as far as it would go. Seems to be fine for all but one of mine. (She jumps over it without any problem) Only problem is that there's no gate, so I have to step over it. It's 30" tall, so it's not real user friendly. I hope you find something. |
This is the one i have And you can put it between two walls or you can screw it on to the wall and make like a door that swings open. Of course only when you have it in the open position i got it after my Rocky chewed a hole through to of the plastic ones. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...entPage=family Perfect Fit Gate showcases a sleek and contemporary design with solid no climb panels. This gate also features an easy to use 3 n 1 lock/release/adjust handle mechanism. The Safety 1st exclusive auto fit feature helps secure the gate in almost any doorway. This gate offers the convenience of pressure or hardware mount options and can be used at the top or bottom of stairs. The color coded visual indicator displays status of gate panels, lock, release, adjust. The dual action child resistant handle makes it difficult for the child to access. The sleek contemporary plastic design makes it easy to clean and it matches any decor. |

Gee, Sue I wonder who you might be talking about? Could it be the "Jumping "O"? I had to laugh at that one. And you think you have a tough time stepping over the x-pen, you could have my short legs! LOL |
Ok I'm almost convinced about this product. Can someone who has this gate tell me what is the distance between each post. It sort of looks like puppies might be able to squeeze through. Looks like it is for bigger dogs. Please give me some feedback before I buy. Thanks in advance |
Yeah, I really want this gate.. but it's awfly pricey. |

:lol tears :yelrotflm  :D  I am so glad you re-posted. Was thinking you missed the boat at first!!!!! OK So that will definately fix her problem and also the Yorkie owner with the 17 foot wall and mine too! .......:thumbs up |
Anyone knoe the distance between each post? Thanks.:) :aimeeyork |
I have this gate and its awesome.. I will measure between the posts.. but I do know that when one of my Yorkies was a baby.. she would fit through the bars.. I put one of those plastic pens gates in front of it...The ones that are a pen.. but can also be used as a gate.... until she was big enough that she could not fit between the bars.. I needed this gate for a very large opening ..I had to buy this gate along with an extension kit.. we use the door on it daily... Its the best gate I ever purchased... :-) |
There's an 800 number on the Kidco website (www.kidco.com). I bet if you called they could tell you how far apart the bars are.... I have another gate (not this exact one) from Kidco. The slats are about 2 3/4" apart.... My 3lb female could slip through without a problem.... Little sneak.... I went to the hardware store and bought some plastic mesh (looks like the plastic criss cross stuff the small wooden baby gates have on them) and zip ties. I zip tied the plastic mesh to the gate so she couldn't slip through anymore. |
I bought a super playyard for my baby.......but that could definitely be stretched across......but then you have the same problem climbing over it......my legs are short too......and I've tripped coming over it a few times......but maybe there's some way you can rig it to swing opened when you wanna go in |
I just measured the space between the bars.. Its 2 1/4 inches,, I hope this helps.. Oh.. and the gate I used in front of it when my yorkie was a baby was the Superplay yard.. :-) |
What about this one? Can be mounted in any configuration. Check out the "See It In Action" demonstration. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...#prod_prodinfo The other gate with the link that was posted on babies r us got very bad reviews evidently. |
Oh, thank you so much for the measurements and the ideas for temporarily plugging the holes for our little escape artist. I put a deposit on the cutest 5 week old little baby boy this afternoon and I can't wait to get him home. The girl I wanted was spoken for so I will have to wait and see what the other litters bring. I must be on 3 more wait list. |

Thanks for posting! Hey on that second one.. does it easily collapse for everyday use? Like could i just collapse it on a daily basis when i come home to let the "kids" out? Also, would it be sturdy enough for two furrballs? Wookie is rambunctious.. can it hold a rambunctious doggie who thinks he is the king of the world? Because I just need one to go in a half circle basically, to enclose a door.. where the doggy door is. And it's in the living room, so thats why I want it to be easily collapsable Thanks! |
Google Petedge in and then put zx63500 in the search box. Their gates are only $79.89 for a 45 to 60 wide. Panels are also cheaper than elsewhere. |

What a great idea! How big is the mesh? I don't think I have seen it. I have a problem with my yorkies climbing my gate/pen and have been looking for something like this that they can't get a toe hold on to cover the slats with. Thanks, Nancy |

If you don't need a gate that bends, there's this one: All Clear Swing Gate. It's all plastic so there's no footholds for them to climb up it... |
