It was YOU!!!!! I swear... I have been wracking my brain!!!! Seriously... I thought I might hurt myself... and OMG!!! I am a total Idiot!!! I so could have looked up the old Exchange threads!!!! Geezzz!!!! Now you all get to see just how stupid I get to feel on a daily basis.... But befor you laugh at me.... just chew on this..... None of you thought of it either!!! lol Girl!!! That is the best gift I have ever received!!!! You have no idea!!!!! Pixie looks amazing now!!!!! Its Magic, Pure Magic I tell you!!!!! |
I have cowboy magic, I have been using it for awhile now. I love love love this stuff. It works so great, gets the matts out like magic and leaves their hair looking so beautiful and shiny. When I put this on, the brush just glides through their hair with such ease. If I don't use it, I have a hard time brushing out their hair and it takes forever to brush it if I don't use the CM. Oh and a reminder, you don't have to use alot of it, just use a little bit. I bought a small bottle, 4 oz several months ago and have used it all the time on 4+ dogs and I still have not ran out of it yet!!! It does come in a tube, the detangler and shine is what you want. It is for horses but can be used on dogs and people. They don't make any for dogs specifically. You can get it at Petsmart, but only at a Petsmart that has horse equipement since this is considered for horses. They also have it on their site if you want it shipped to you. Just go to the link that says horses, and once you are there go to grooming and then you will find cowboy magic. Or here is quick link. http://www.petsmart.com/global/produ...N=2036222&Ne=2 I love this stuff and highly recommend it to anyone!!!  |
It's also at valleyvet.com and jeffersequine.com |
I will be getting some this week. Tye's hair is like teddy bear hair even though he is almost 4. His collar or harness mats him, his belly band mats him - EVERYTHING mats him  He looks like your before pictures even after a good combing - he loves to roll around and get "messed" up as soon as I brush him. Can't wait to try it - thanks for the photos, it was a sure sale seeing those. |
A Picture Says a Thousand Words!!! It just kills me to think of all the times I have brushed a mat out before this stuff!!! The hours I would spend... I would do it in shifts... take breaks! lol It was awful! And all along I had read about the Cowboy Magic on YT and thought... Hmmm I should try that stuff someday... And I never bought it! I had to get it in a gift exchange!!! lol The best gift ever!!! Now had I seen pictures... Yep! I would have saved myself all that work and I would have saved my girls alot of brush time... A picture says a thousand words.. Its so true!!! |
I tried it too!! I have a female that has incredibly cottony hair. If the wind blows, she gets almost as matted as yours was. I tried everything under the sun. I was about to give in and let her be hairless for eternity!! Then I tried the Cowbot Magic. When I first put it on, I thought "Oh no!! It's too greasy!!" Then after just a few minutes, it all absorbed in and it was perfect. I really like it and so does she. I would never had the guts to take pics of her before I used it!! You are one brave person!! Thank you! Suz |
You know... It was not till after I posted them that I had that moment of panic... and thought oh spit! I'm going to get lynched!!!! I can't believe I posted a picture of Pixie all matted up like that!!! I really braced myself for the "tisk tisk" posts... but my bet is that we all have seen it at least once if not twice with our own babies... Spit happens.... and I am pleasantly surprised that all the posts have been super positive!! Just another example of how wonderful YT really is!!! You guys are great!!! Thanks!!! |
WOW!!! I have not tried it yet! But I think its a must now! |
If anyone needs some and cant find it near I can pick some up at the feed store and mail it to you. The feed store is only about 10 minutes away. I know this stuff has saved my girls from pain a few times.:D |
she just looks amazing... wow wee!!!!!!!!!!! |

"Spit Happens"!!!!! That about cracked me up!!! Mind if I use that instead of the way I usually say it?!?!? |
Wow, her coat is amazing!! It's so silky and glossy!! |
Its amazing what us Morman gals come up with.... I'm a convert and the one thing I can't seem to get over is my foul mouth! So I really have been working on it!!! And its an effort!!! So I have been finding replacement words for now and then I'll eliminate them all together! (well, thats my plan anyway! I'll let you know how it goes:confused: ) So Gosh, and snap, and flippen are mainstays for me right now... And plenty of spit happens around here!!! ;) |
Ok, after reading about this stuff FOREVER, you convinced me! I just bought some off eBay. :D Jaxon is wearing clothes almost all the time now and he's been getting so tangled, even with regular brushings. Hope this stuff helps. |

I really think you help sales .... And should be rewarded ... but, alas, I am in no position to advance your career. I have seen your videos selling your babies' clothes and the video where you show people how to use a "step-in" harness and I think you have a certain "presence" that works with the camera .... JMO .... And as another member said, you do seem to have a flair for writing .... So now we have ascertained that you are persuasive, influential, and have good writing skills .... Go fly with that and perhaps you will find your hidden talent is no longer hidden ... good luck! Debbie |
OMG! I think I sat here for a good 10 minutes before I started to type!!! That has to be the best compliment I have ever received! I am just stunned!!! I wish I knew what to do with it!! lol But you certainly have the hamster in my head running! ;) Thank you for those amazing words... Wow! I will be walking on air for the next week!! Heck month! lol:p |
I think I'm going to get some for Maddie if I can find it.. So how does it work. Do you rub it all over them, or just the matt???? |
ok where do i get it? |
OMG I want one now . . .so I called the nearest store that carries horse products and they do have it . . . one left but they said they will order more. It is $9.95 for a 4 oz. bottle. Crap, they will hold it for today only so I guess I will have to head that way after work. |
I rubbed it into the matt but then rubbed it in everywhere to get the excess off my hands... and as someone else said... at first I too was like... woah!!!! This stuff is like rubbing LARD into her coat! WAY too oily! but in a matter of minutes it soaked in to the hair shafts and was GONE! and the hair was silky and soft! and the mats melted out! it was so cool! I'm doing paris tonight... She mats when the wind blows... so I'll be dipping her in it! lol I'm going to try the spray bottle with water like somebody said??? see how that works?? I forget who said to do that??? see of the force of the spray gets it deeper into the mat?? or if applying it direct is really the best way to go.... If anyone has experiance on this one and can say one way or the other... please do!!! I'll check back before I do it! ;) |
Running to the Store tomorrow Oh yeah, if that stuff works that good, I'm going tomorrow. Called two places and they both have it so I hope this post doesnt send everybody from Spring Hill to get their few tubes (what am I talking about, we're so small here). Just like it for the shine. My kids get brushed at least every other day if not every day bu THAT SHINE is wonderful. THANKS for sharing!:D |
HOLY MOSES! Her hair is gorgeous! That must be some good stuff! |
Ok where the heck do I purchase this stuff! |
