| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I am totally loving Found My Animal rope leashes - they're so cool! I don't own one, bc I can't quite justify spending the $$...but I just think they're so flippin' cool looking. Found My Animal

| Ann those are very very cool. Are they cotton? They remind me of the cotton lead ropes I used to make when I had horses.

| Thanks for this post! My son and I had a great time making a leash for Abby and Ziva. We have to get some bolt snaps to finish the coupler part tomorrow. |

| Ohhh very nice!! Dang it, you just HAD to post this, you should know I have a leash/collar addiction. LoL... very nice but I'm actually pretty happy w/ our leather leads, which I have paid $40++ for. I have a Mendota rope lead that looks similar to these and it was a lot cheaper and it's incredibly soft and held up very well. Super thin and lightweight.

| We bought 10' of 1/4" cotton rope, a 1" welded ring and 2 snap locks - we are making a leash with a coupler for 2 dogs-. Just a regular leash would be a shorter length of rope and 1 snap. We used animatedknot.com to get the backsplice and chain splice instructions. We then used the sailmaker lashing to cover the fraying ends of the cotton rope. I am going to try some with marine and climbers rope next... |

| The 10' rope was $2.10 the welded ring was $1 and the snap locks (not brass) $2.29 each- so around $8 for the 2- dog coupled leash. A regular leash would be under $4. It would be cheaper if you made a lot of them and bought in bulk. We haven't gotten to the dye (pink of course) but I think my dd has some around. |
