Yeah I googled it when I read that post through my email earlier- how super rude! I have a very diverse personality and display that through my dress regularly to the extent that I will have customers at my work come up to me and describe myself to them (dressed differently) to ask if I still work here or to reference a conversation that we had and I will have to tell them -" no, really it's me...I'm the only female who works here." And it is downright amazing how differently people will act to me depending on how I am dressed that day! Often terribly rude And most especially when I am dressed nicely. It is dissapointing that people can't keep their minds open. |
I have 3 little girls that ride in a Jen7 jogger style stroller,we love it. DH even likes it. I did have a smaller stroller, but when I got Kenzie and Tilly to keep Mina company,we just needed something larger and sturdier. As for someone making a nasty comment to you, live your life and ignore the small minded people. Life is way to short to put up with that kind of stuff. All three of my girls wear dresses and nighties everyday, have their hair fixed and yes I schedule my life so that it is done even if I am leaving and not taking them with me. My husband has band the spouse of a lifelong friend from our home because he was cruel to one of our pups. So live your life the way you wish, especially if it isn't hurting anyone and brings you pleasure. |

I don't see how it relates to doggies other then maybe those that carry the fake LV carriers and such. Our cheap kwigy Bo's and pet gear products wouldn't be considered bougee. |

I don't know if it is the New Yorker in me but I really don't care what they think. All I care about is Galen and his welfare and safety. I have a few bags and 2 strollers. He loves the walk and he does a lot. But when we are in a crowd, people not watching where they are going. I am going to keep him safe. I had a few people make comments about dog in a stroller. Me again, no filter, I turn to them and tell them. . . Yes he is in a stroller. He is 3.5 lbs. and it to protect him from people not watching were they are going. (Giving a look) If someone steps on him. They could kill him. . . They they go wow I didn't think about that . . . Shuts them up lol And I got him some cute harnesses and buddy belts and a ton of bows lol hey it is not their money. I can spend mine how it like . . .and it is on a Galen and the kitties !! |
How rude, then, for someone to call you something derogatory just because you have something nice for your dog?? I think they have names for people with small vocabularies and smaller minds.....! |

Strollers are crazy..then I bought a Burley Tail Wagon 2 Attachment(s) I thought strollers for dogs were crazy...then I realized that with 3 or 4 Yorkies that we could not put enough baskets on our bikes to take them all with us. So we got our dogs a Burley Tail Wagon last year. It is a Stroller and a Dog Wagon that you can pull with your bicycle. It lets me take our dog in many places that they would not be welcome on a leash...like a our local library. It holds up to 75 lbs (so stuff and dogs). I put a medium crate liner in it and we love it. It was about $500 and we got from our local bike shop where they assembled it for free. You can also get them directly from Burley and it is easier to assemble than a kids bike. I talked to some folks in our neighborhood (urban) that had Burley Wagons for their kids and they really liked them. Also, not having kids I did not know much about strollers, so I asked around and get the option with the one big wheel in the front. Folks who push kids in strollers said this is much better for going up and over curbs where the sidewalks don't have the nice soft ramps where you cross the street and for rough terrain like gravel paths. It lets us walk with the dogs to places that are too far away for them to walk there and back. Also, an added benefit is that people in cars can't tell if it is a stroller for kids or dogs so they stop and let you cross the street. We have it for a year and have had no problems with it. Very happy we got it. For a less expensive alternative. I have a friend who just got a double stroller at Costco and took the kids seats out of it. |
