| Elastics for top mop? Need some recommendations on the right type of elastic for tying up my baby's top mop. She's 8 months old, and in the between phase of puppy/ adult fur. It's getting long, but tangles very easily. I find elastics that are too rubbery get tangled... And are hard to get out even after snipping with scissors. She's so patient with me while putting them in and out, and doesn't fuss with it, or her clips after they're in, but I want to make it more enjoyable for her when they have to come out at night. My pet store doesn't carry anything, so I'm looking for something possibly online, or available in a Canadian store. Thanks!

| I have given up on putting my girls hair up. They decided it was more fun to rub them out and they pulled out too much hair! I found the best bands were the little terry scrunchies (for toddlers)from the dollar store and the silicone bands that are popular here for making bracelets. Wish I could send you our un-used stash to try out. |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Lol... Do you mean Top Knott ?? I use the tiny little rubber bands but they pull a lot of hair out. The best thing to use would be the little scrunchies. They can still pull but they come out so much more easily .

| I have for years used the orthodontic bands and have never had any issues. It is important to remove them and brush the hair daily.

I use children's snag free bands & remove them w/band scissors & re-do their top knot every morning or afternoon. Hardly any hair on the band, the key is to re-do their hair everyday, otherwise they get tangles on their head.

Her hair isn't thick/ long enough to be held In the little scrunchies, so elastics are a must, and anything bigger than a baby size clip my bigger dog bites out for her.

Do you know if they're sold anywhere online? I used to have tons from when I had braces, but used them all in my own hair long long ago.

| I was using the snag free bands but I think I'm going to switch to the loom bands, I have a few I'm testing now. The reason for the switch is Lola was messing up her hair by pulling the head part loose. She hasn't done it yet with the loom bands. |

| Hair bands I like to use the tiny plastic hair clips . Barrettes I guess you call them. Toddler sized. I put them over the top knot under the band. Not explaining this well. I use pet edge bands and take it out at night before bed. My new rescues don't have enough hair to bother with yet. You can go onto a professional groomers forum and see what they suggest. Have t groomed professionally in 8 yrs and new things come out all the time. |
