Oh NOOOOO! I was reading this thread http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...4&page=1&pp=15 (about the cute dog house on abc distributing) and wondered how much shipping would be, so I filled out the checkout line and before they even told me what the shipping costs would be it said "THANK YOU FOR YOUR PAYMENT!" WHAT???? I didn't want to buy this item just yet!! I was just curious abuot the dang shipping. And on top of ALL of this, they never did tell me what the shipping costs would be. It just said "thank you for your payment. Shipping costs will be charged to your credit card when your item is sent out." What the heck? I tried to call or email their customer service to tell them to CANCEL my order, but their offices (even online cust. service) is CLOSED for the holiday. This sucks. I'm screwed. What's my hubby going to say about me buying Sully a doghouse for our tiny condo? OMG. |
YEPPPPP I posted about the same problem awhile back. It was like 30% extra for shipping. i imagine the heavier the more shiping will be. I also received ONE item with a big HOLE |
I remember that happening to someone else. Sorry Val :( You can call the cc company and tell them what happened & they can take it off/stop the charge. Hope I helped. |
Oh my gosh, That sucks. I hope you get to resolve this matter as soon as possible. Hopefully if you call the cc company they can put a stop to it. Good luck. |
I\'ve done that many times...to see what shipping is, and if it\'s too much, I just close it and forget it! How can they do that...not give you shipping prices and finalizing the order without your okay? I hope you can get through to them and get it cancelled! |
Yup, and when you try to return things they don\'t give you back the shipping. It\'s a rip off! |
Val, try this You could try calling your cc company and telling them what happened. Ask them to cancel the payment. then, they won\'t ship it to you because it\'s not paid for. |

Call your credit card company and see if you can stop payment or do a charge back. |
I honestly wonder if they do that on purpose - that happened to me a year ago when I got the fabric house from them - I think their site is rigged to do that. People need to start reporting that to the BBB |
Whenever I\'m searching on the web & getting information on something, I NEVER enter my credit card information UNLESS I\'m ready to buy. Just a word of advice to all. If you have to, call their 800 number. |
I made this same mistake with LTD... a few weeks later I got a post card from them asking you to send in payment for the item. and they will bill you for the shipping after you receive the item... So I just will not send in payment for the order and it will not ship! Hopefully you will get the same card from ABC! Yikes... I hope so... I ended up ordering it from Lakeside, where they tell you the shipping and you pay for it all up front! No funny Business! |
I feel so bad! I didnt know the company was like that I am for sure not going to deal with them and i hope you get it straightened out! |
That has been my experience with ABC, you don\'t find out shipping until you receive the item and it is usually high. I looked at the Lakeside Collection, they have the same doggie condo. I haven\'t ordered from them yet..wondering if they have the same high shipping cost. Has anyone tried them? ooops, just saw the post above r/t Lakeside, thanks! I will give them a try, they have basically the same items. |
hey Val, okay ABC will send you a email telling you that your order will be processed and the amount.... however if will still be a couple of days until it "officially" goes through.... just call them and they will cancel it.. next time though you can check over the phone, they can give you a quote w/ out having to process anything..... Hope this helps... but they are cheaper than lakeside on the handling charge...... goos luck~!! |
