Buddy belt vs choke free shoulder harness 1 Attachment(s) I want to get teddy a better quality harness when he is full grown. I can't decide between the choke free shoulder harness and the buddy belt. I want one that won't cause his hair to matt, and both look similar in design. I know several people have the buddy belt, but what about the choke free. |

I personally don't think you can go wrong with either, I think the BB is a little more masculine with the buckle and studs, I love it because it fits either under or over clothes and it made beautifully, but I know lots of people who are extremely happy with the choke free too. Here's a picture of Joey in a black BB. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...ictureid=84294 |
Nancy introduced me to the Buddy Belt and I loved it so much for my boys that I became a retailer. I wrote a review on my boutique's blog: Buddy Belt Dog Harness - Dog Life and Style |

I just ordered a Buddy Belt for Teeka. It is adjustable and fits very well. She doesn't seem to mind wearing it, so it must be comfortable! When Tatiana gets close to her adult size, I will get one for her, too. They are well worth the money! |
I couldn't decide between getting the choke free harness or the buddy belt, and so I'm going to slowly save up and just buy both... not at once, but I will have both eventually. With my boys, you can never have to many harnesses. They never chew them up, but if you leave one sitting out they always find a way to hide them. But I was wondering the same thing (which one was better)! |
I haven't used the BB but I have numerous of the CFH. I am very pleased with the CFH. I haven't had any problems at all. Mikki uses hers a lot. I haven't had any trouble with matting at all. I will post pictures in a few. |
2 Attachment(s) I purchased these from Lil Sis. I do have a BB collar from Maximo. Both of these ladies have outstanding customer service! Attachment 383621 Attachment 383622 |
I own both CF and BB and love them both. |
2 Attachment(s) We love our BB. I have two, a black one which Peanut has on in these pictures and a Caramel one!! LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! |
I had the same question http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...harnesses.html I did decide on the BB. I like that they also have liners. But both harnesses are great and we have two great women on here that sell them and can help you with any questions you have. Good luck in your choice |
Thank you |
I agree they are both great quality harnesses. For Uni the BB actually fits her body better. The Choke free just didn't sit as well on her. But both are easily adjustable to wear over clothing. BB is with a buckle, CF is with a velcro then a D ring though a slit. I also like the BB bc I can make Uni wear it like a mask when I'm bored. |

Actually I have several. Hold on. |
We have both. We use the CFH for the car seat because it is quick to hook up and use the BB for walks and bike rides. The BB actually fits in a more contoured manner, but both work well. |

I like the buddy belt the best because she can wear it naked, over a light tshirt or over a jacket. I love that it is adjustable because so many clothes don't have harness holes and they are different thicknesses. |
We love the choke-free. |

I have several Choke Free harnesses. I love them. They were designed by an aerospace engineer at NASA in Merritt Island Florida. He designed them for his own dogs when he couldn't find a suitable alternative. Ultra Easy ChokeFree & PawRider Pet Seatbelt Adapter (USA) |
I like both the bb and the cfh. I like the Choke*free a little better and I do sell the Choke*Free:) Both are of high quality leather Both can be worn over and under clothing Both have beautiful colors that are great for male or female They have a little bit of a different look.. it just a matter of opinion which you like best. The cf is easier to put on and take off but is not AS adjustable (less then an inch) The cf is made in USA..Florida, as you can see in Lisa's link it is a patented design The cf designer leathers (croc and ost) are lined. The plain leathers and the metallic leathers harnesses are not lined but are a softer more pliable leather. The pawrider and tetter is great to use with car seats or just to buckle in larger dogs. I, personally think they both are great... it is just a matter of opinion. |

1 Attachment(s) Here's a photo of the velcro on the CF harness. I really love mine! I have a CF for my girl & Buddy Belts for my boy. The CF seems more feminine to me. Since the CF fastens on the top of the shoulder, there is a possibility that the hair could get caught. However, it hasn't happened to me yet. And the CF is my girl's primary harness. It's also a lot easier to put on than the Puppia. It doesn't go over the head like the Puppia does. The leather is so soft & it fits her really well. It seems very comfortable for her. |
3 Attachment(s) Here are some more pics of the velcro on the CF harness: As long as you smooth the hair down, it won't get caught in the velcro. |
