Squirrels in a tree stump toy I just bought the best toy! Chloe seemed to need a challenge so I went to PetSmart and I found a toy that is basically a tree stump that has three squirrels inside. Chloe LOVES it! She has to get the squirrels out and she can then "kill" them. I am laughing so hard I have tears in my eyes watching her enjoy her new toy. |
Is it the "hide-a-squirrel" plush toy? If so, I was debating on getting that for Bella and Brussels. The only question I have is washability; does it go in the washer/dryer? I'm so glad your wee one is enjoying it! |
It is washable |
Choco loves it as well. I also hide treats in the tree and stuff it with small balls and squirrels so that he can't get to them easily. He loves to play with it :) |
Washes up well. Great toy for training dogs that are toy obsessive too! For even more fun, buy the replacement pack of squirrels, too. Mine were playing with it and the rabbit in the hat version one day. I brought out a new pet bed hut style and they all ran over to it and stuck their heads in the doorway all at the same time, looking for more toys! I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. Then all but one pulled their heads back out, and the last one went running around the house with the hut stuck on her head! Never a dull moment lol! |

I see it comes in different forms like with bees and other creatures. I like the squirrel one myself. I wasn't sure how well it worked but it seems you and your dog enjoy it. I guess I'll have to get one! |
It is so cute, i bet my babies would like one |
We have the hide-a-squirrel and the magic hat they are very cute toys...Jada doesn't play with toys, but Bogie loves them. He loves to carry the little squirrels around in his mouth after he "kills" them:D |

I am glad to read that hide a squirrel is a hit! I was considering hide a squirrel and hide a bird. |
I think I need to get Allie one of these toy's. It sounds like she would love it, since she is always chasing squirrels outside. LOL |
We've got them too. My Tedfy likes the hide-a-bees. He usually plays with the beehive not the bees but whatever floats his boat is ok with me. |
Hmmmm, I think I may make a trip to Petsmart. Sounds like a fun and safe toy. Mine love real squirrels. If I ever get the nerve I will post a pic of my show boy climbing a tree about 7 feet from the ground trying to nab one. :D |

My two love this toy..I got it from YT member Mimimomo. toplinepet.com |
We have that hide-a-squirrel and I love it when they prance around w/ one of those cute little squirrels in their mouth. It's a fun/cute toy :). |
A couple of online sites that I saw the hide-a-toy had different sizes; like regular or large. Do you know what size you have? |
any pics? |
We have the small and large hide a squirrel, the hide a bee, and the hide a bird. Plus we have the alligator and eagle egg babies toys. My fav is the hide a bird toy! Peyton loves the eggs for the eagle and alligator! |
Bitsy has the squirrel one and loves it! She "killed" and ate the squirrels, now she just plays with the tree stump lol:p |
Belle loves this toy as well. Also got a gingerbread house with gingerbread men on clearance after Christmas. Too cute! |
Just saw your thread. Tibbe got this toy for Christmas and plays with it endlessly. So I love it, too! |
i think morgan needs to get that |
I think my babes would like the squirrels |

Jaxon got the "hide-a-quirrel" for Christmas too! He loves it so much, he plays with it for hours. even after all the squirrels are out he keeps sticking his head in the stump to look for more...it's adorable! And oh, yes he does get his head stuck in there from time to time. He doesn't like that too much but he keeps going back for more, lol:D |
Very good toy They are great We named them Moe Larry and Curley Squirrel ! BEST EVER ! STILL PLAYS WITH THEM A YR LATER ! LOVES TO SQUEEK THEM ! AND i PLAY FETCH WITH THEM TOO !!:aimeeyork:thumbup: |
We had the hide-a-bee and April "Loved" it :D The bad part was that her and Nappy decided to do "open heart (stuffing) surgery on the little bees one day and Nappy had tried to eat some of it. I would warn those who have these to not let the furbabies have them when you are not home, or around to supervise.... or maybe mine are the only ones who kill the stuffed toys, lol. We have many bo-bo's that have met their demise here too... :p:p |
Dori has the small size; just right, purchased from Jenny at topline pet. And, yes, they do need to be supervised. Dori is a defuzzer. She can pick the fuzz off a tennis ball. Needless to say, each of her 3 squirrels is bald. Highly recommended. |
