There are a few pill form flea treatments, if she is looking for something to treat a current infestation of fleas she can pick up "capstar" from her vet which ran me about $25 for a 6 pill treatment when my cat picked up fleas.
The flea treats, when ordered of Amazon I believe set be back $20. So far the only benefit I seem to be getting from them is similar to giving the little furbutts a vitamin daily. Cat picked up fleas as soon as he bolted out the door. He was only outside in a tree for 5 minutes before I got him back inside. By the end of the day I noticed he was itching like mad. So I went with the Frontline and started treating the yard with the D/E and putting the D/E along all windowsills, doorways, and under the cushions of my couch. Not a single flea since then.
I would recommend these in an environment where fleas aren't too terrible.
I would not recommend these as a primary flea treatment option in a high parasite area. Just my 2 cents. |
