| Don't play fetch with an Himalayan chew!! Bailey always brings me his chewies so I can throw them and he will run and get it..well I did it today with his new himalayan chew and it broke in to 3 pieces! I had to trash it because I was afraid he would choke on the much smaller pieces, so no playing fetch with himalayans!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oh, shoot! Those chews aren't cheap either, are they? I've always wanted to try those for the furs. It sounds like they are very durable for chewing, but a hard surface drop could split them - thanks for sharing this info, bc I too may have thrown this for Wylie.

| Bogie breaks his every time. He will lay on the couch with it and drop it on the floor. I have been lucky that they have almost always broke in the middle, and it is usually before they have been chewed on much. They sure aren't cheap to have to throw it away. I always throw them away when they get down to about 3" I am terrified they will get choked on them.

| Max often wants to play fetch with his Himalayan or his Kong. We have carpet in our play area, but I still refuse to throw either one because the dogs are too fast and fetch is too dangerous with heavy objects, even with gentle, underhand tosses. |
