| ![]() My yorkie puppy is currently 5 pounds at a little over 3 and a half months. He is expected to be between 6 and 9 pounds fully grown. If I want to buy clothes for my yorkie at a store like sears, and get toddler clothes, approx what size would I buy? Does anyone else buy clothes from 'normal' people stores for dog clothing?? What are some inexpensive stores that have worked out well? P.S. I do not have my yorkie yet, getting him next week! |

| ![]() toddler clothes are always too big... I had to buy onesies once to prevent mine from getting to their surgery incision and preemie was the only thing that fit... so I would imagine finding clothes in any store would be difficult.

| ![]() I have bought preemie onesies and turned them into comfy long sleeved jammies. Kaji is about 7lbs and the preemie ones fit great! I also have a few tees too. They do require a bit of tailoring, but just a bit!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() He'll probably need a size small in dog clothes, Joey's around 5 1/2 pounds, and size small is too big. I wanted to make him some pj's for a Christmas picture, and size preemie in infants was too big, so children clothes would take alterations. Sometime build a bear clothes fit, but Target and Walmart both sell clothes very reasonably priced. We also have lots of members who make clothing and some give discounts to YT members. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ore-sites.html

| ![]() Pistol is five pounds and two years old. I can't buy anything for him at a " normal " store. I do order stuff online from walmart, or from vendors on this sight. Welcome to YT. |

| ![]() Why wouldn't you want to buy him dog clothes? They are inexpensive as well and already made to fit dogs. Old Navy, Walmart, Ross all have great stuff and very cheap.

Yorkie Talker | ![]() kids clothes are so cute, but to big. If you have the time and a sewing machine then best bet is buy the smallest stuff 0 to 3 months and alter. Premie stuff could also work. Good sales are the times to buy. Resale shops are good and if you wanna save all the trouble and money doggy clothes from pet stores are great stock up when they have thereoff season sales. I have been buying stuff too. My pup is 3 weeks have a ways to go!! puppy love what can we say!! ![]() |

| ![]() Hi my one yorkie loves to wear shirts he has a zillion, he wears a shirt pretty much everyday, I never did find any kids clothes that fit him correctly but when he was a tiny puppy i did buy him some clothes at build a bear, also the local craft store often had clothes meant for bears, keep in mind if you have a boy or girl if you have a boy they may winkie on them if its to long on the under part,, really awful, Shaffer wears mostly polo shirts you can buy at ralph lauren.com. i also knit my dog his sweaters. Target and walmart often have some really cute stuff and not that much money. Once your dog get to its grown size you will be able to look at the shirt and see if it will fit right and in my case if he will winkie on it. |

| ![]() My Guy only accepts winter clothes now, he got tired of silly wear. But i assume human clothes will always be way too big for a yorkie. Dog clothes are also built different . Good luck
