We got Roxy one of these. DH & I couldn't bring outselves to put her in the back seat at first. Roxy loves her seat. Wants out now & then, but has learned that this is where she belongs. She's close enough & really enjoys it. So do we. Snoozer Console Pet Car Seat - Snoozer Pet Car Seats - Dog Car Seats Now that she's older she's testing us a little more now. Wants to be right up in the window, but she still understands her place. |

Mine travel in a Sturdi Bag. It buckles in so they are secure... if I did have an accident they dont have a lot of room to be thrown around, plus the sides are soft if they did get a jolt... and an emergency worker could easily grab them out of the car and place them into another car for transport. They both get a blankie and a toy usually and they lay down and go to sleep. |
3 Attachment(s) This is the BEST car booster seat for yorkies I've found. Toby hated riding in the car until I got this car seat. Now he loves riding in the car because he can see out the window and it's all soft and cozy. There are no hooks in his way of seeing or getting hung up on. If you click on each link you will get a better view of the carseat. It is awesome! Here's the link......... Kurgo Rover Gear Booster Seat - Car Seats - Travel - PetSmart |
I went on the Petco website and ordered the Solvit Deluxe Pet Booster Seat. I put a harness vest on Copper and attach the strap to it. I also put a small blanket in the car seat. He does fine in it. It is big enough to put in a toy, have him lay down or sit up and look out the window. If it is sunny, I can put a towel or blanket over one third of the seat and he can lay down in the shade. So far, the seat has worked out perfectly. My friend ordered the same seat for her dog at the same time. She likes the results also. The seat cost around $55 dollars I think... Good luck in your search for a solution. |
The Solvit Booster seat is very similar to the Kurgo one posted above my post! |

I hope you like the car seat as much as we do! Like I said, so far...it has worked very well. We take a 9 hour trip to Tahoe about twice a year, so I researched which car seat looked like it would be the most workable. I think this will work. |

I guess I started out the wrong way with Betty Boop. I spoiled her from the minute I put her in the car to bring her home 6 months ago. She has ridden on my left shoulder ever since. I realized how dangerous this was the older she got and bought her a car seat where she could look out the window. Needless to say, she won't stay in it, no matter what bribe I use. Her place in the car is on my left shoulder, curled up and looking out the window. The only place I really take her is to PetSmart or PetCo a couple times a month or we just go for a joy ride around town a couple of times a week. Good luck and if you find out what works, PLEASE let me know. |

I understand. I've been holding Olive in the car since she was 6 weeks, she's 15 weeks now and I'm just NOW going to introduce her to a booster. I'm hoping it works out or it's going to be a very long 6 hours... |
Trixie is only 14 weeks old and we have had her for two weeks. She rides in the snoozer lookout carseat and although she is still just adjusting, she seems to do okay in it. We put a toy in the seat with her blanket...that seems to help. She does cry/whine a little but eventually stops panting and settles down. We try to get her used to it by taking her out for alittle ride each day. I won't let her ride in the car without her being in her seat...it's just too dangerous with the airbags and all. Good luck. I hope it works out for you :animal-pa |
