Thanks for the info! That's what I was afraid of with the silver. The gold is very pretty, but I don't wear/carry much gold at all which is why I really liked the black. Good to know that the patent leather is classy looking! I would want the large bag since I don't know right now how large Sophie will get. She's 4 months and weighs about 4 lbs. I'm thinking she'll be about 6 to 7 lbs but I want her to have room to be comfy.

Good idea. I have the large bag and Maddy is now 8 pounds. The gold is SO me, but I understand what you mean. I say go for the black. :) The strap is so pretty with the chain weaved in. You will love it!! :thumbup:

The gold really is pretty and so is Maddy!! It does look like more of a champagne, which I like. I'm so confused now!! :confused: LOL:p

Ok, I'm now deciding between the gold, the black patent, and the regular black one! At least I've narrowed my choices!! LOL :p

LOL. I vote the Luxe for sure!!! The straps are much thicker and much nicer quality. Trust me!

I just got the Alex Luxe in gold and LOOOVE it! It is definitely more muted than the silver - and not a "gold" gold but more champagne color. I was deciding between the gold and the black patent - and eventually decided to be a little daring. LOL:D

I'm down to deciding between the Luxe Black and the Luxe Gold. I'm going to wait a little on getting it, I think. I did go ahead and bid on the used black one that was just the regular Alex since it was REALLY cheap, even though it has a messed up twist lock. At least I'll have one so she can get used to it if I win the auction. There are 5 days left so I hope I win it! I'll end up with one of the others, too, but I'm going to wait until Oct. when the Large Luxe black is in stock again, just to make sure.

Now you have me thinking about that gold one. I am not very daring, but it would sure be pretty. I like to carry my knitting with me. Maybe it would look like a fancy knitting bag! Daisy usually goes with me to Stitch n Bitcch on Tuesday nights!:D

The gold one is so pretty. If you look farther back in this thread, I posted pics. Everyone thinks its a purse, not a dog carrier!

i have the alex putty, it's really beautiful, and i'm very happy i chose something other than basic black. take advantage of the nice colors kb offers and get something you really like. the bag completely hides the dog anyway, so no one will see at the dog, just your nice bag.

loved my alex luxe black--large for 5 lb. yorkie--she had lots of stretch room--it was stolen this week---I will re-buy as sson as it's in stock!
