				   | Hi! I bought a baby gate but Marly climbs over it because the way the slats are, (kind of like holes) in it. Does anyone have a recommendation for a baby gate that is affordable yet effective? |

				   | I have two that I love & highly recommend. I'm not sure about affordable, but they've been worth every penny. They both have vertical bars, so your baby can't climb over. I have this one set up in the hallway. You just press the footpedal and the gate opens - no having to step over or take down when I go down the hall. The First Years Hands Free Gate - Gates & Doors - Dog - PetSmart I have this much larger one set up on the other side of the kitchen, similar to the photo where they have it going from wall to wall. Between the two, my babies are contained to the kitchen & dining areas only when I'm not home. Convertible Pet Yard - Crates & Kennels - Dog - PetSmart

				   | I'd just be guessing (I'm on my lunch hour at work right now). I'd offer to take measurements for you tonight, but I won't be back online until Monday am. I do know that my local Lowe's and Babies-r-Us both carry this same gate, if you have one of those stores to look at one in person.

				   | MY miley is 8 lbs and max is 7 and I got my at walmart at 9.99- 12.99 each , works for me. The play pen I got at Petmart. I always check out the differnt department store, some on line. It's a little easier for me, I live near a mall , but I know some here are far from any department stores. But Walmart, Target and last petmart or petco. bark@ulater! manina, miley ,max |

				   | I have a spot where I can't use a pressurized gate, so I have a freestanding gate that works well. It's Richell Freestanding Pet Gate - Large: Richell USA! - Freestanding Pet Gate - Large. Glad to see you found a gate for a good price!
