Premier Easy-Walk Harness Easy Walk Harness Product Description - Premier Pet Love it! I purchased this a few days ago, got it very quickly in the mail and just tried it out on a walk for the first time today... Jackson was WAY better with just ONE walk! Hardly any pulling at all. He was a changed dog! It wasn't fit exactly right yet but I'm gonna mess around with the size changing tonight while he's real tired. I'm very happy with this product :) |
Premier Easy Walk Harness I agree that the Premier Easy Walk Harness is fantastic. It helps so much. I am surprised that everyone doesn't use it. It just makes so much sense to keep the dog by ones side. The D ring at the dogs chest creates a pull at the dogs chest that instinctively enables the dog to walk more by one's side versus the natural instinct to pull that is a product of having the leash connect to the dog above the dogs shoulders. Connecting above the dogs shoulders is a set up to pull... like pulling a sleigh. Great product. Also if the dog happens to "chew" the product you can return the chewed harness and they will send you a new one for something like $8 dollars.. nice! |
How is it on their coats -- does it tangle them up????? |

I purchased that same harness for Gracie who has chewed several other one that ripped in half, but believe or not she just did the same thing to this harness which I thought was much more durable then others, now I have to send it back because it said it was a lifetime garentee. By the way Gracie is only 10 months old.:aimeeyorkGracie and Kellie:) |

We love the Easy Walk, although my new favorite is by Wiggles Wags and Whiskers. It has a velvet band under the belly and I like the placement of the clips. It only works for bigger Yorkies though. Loki wears the smallest size and he is 12 pounds. :D |
Thanks for posting this! I was looking for a harness that would not cause the jagging and coughing (going around the neck)! I will order one and try it! Oh, and Nolee use to chew on his harnesses also! He grew out of it too! |
Often they do grow out of chewing..... But some bitter apple spray sometimes helps to strongly remind them not to chew. |

After the first time I tried the Easy Walk on Teddi, I knew I'd never go back to the regular harness! The hardest part was the fitting but once that's over with, it's so easy to put it on/off. I did, however, end up switching to the Gentle Leader harness because it was more effective against pulling when something distracts him from the walk (e.g. kids playing nearby). That one was a little easier to fit but a little harder to put on. But, either one's a good buy! :thumbup: |

Interesting post. I am using the Puppia Harness which connects on his back. Pulling is occasionally a problem and I am looking into the Easy Walk. However, I have a really stupid question.... how does it work with the D-Ring on his chest? Doen't the lead get in their face? When we walk, I've been training Remy to heel, which he does some of the time, but during our walk I will also let him wander around and "take the lead" for fun. With the D-Ring on his chest, how will this work? Maybe I'm being an idiot but I just can't visualize how this works... |
We use the Puppia harness as well and Buddy is a puller. I ordered a walk nice harness from Cindy(Chattiesmom) and can't wait to use it. I am just waiting for Bud's new name tag to arrive to attach it and then off we go.:dogwalk: |

The lead does not get in Jackson's face. It's basically like walking a dog with a collar, except it's not on their neck, it's on their chest. It's the same concept as "loose leash walking." You can't really loose leash walk with a harness attached to the back, I've learned. It kind of brings back their instinct to pull (sled dogs). However, I don't know how well it would work with a flexi leash... that may get in the way. Jackson can still kind of go off ahead of me, he's just not pulling which is nice. I know that Chattiesmom (on this site) makes walk-nice harnesses (That ARCHIE ^ was talking about) and they have both the D ring on the front and the back so you have the option. I will be ordering from her as well. The only reason I didn't was because she has a little over 3 week lead time right now and I'm going on vacation so wanted to have it before then but I've heard marvelous things about her! |
