| I think it totally depends. I have tried at least 5 different car seats since I got Tate. He now rides without one. If you have a small dog it's allot easier. Tate is about 20lbs (I know he's huge for a Yorkie) and cannot sit still enough in alot of seats and ends up tangling himself up in the teather. For dogs who are better behaved in a car I would totally reccomend the Solvit car seat(see my photo album of Tate in it as a puppy). It is probably the most stable. We tried the traveling dog which didn't work because tate is too heavy so it kept collapsing We also tried another one from Petsmart that you have to blow up the bottom in order for it to boost your dog up high enough to see out the window. I can't really explain it here but this thing is a disaster! I now occasionally just use a special tether that hooks to the seatbelt. Just remember to always use a harness with these things. Never attach from the collar!

| Fiona has a car seat- its a little basket that you hook it up to the seat, and i put her harness on , and hook the little saftey strap to her harness, no collar though. She loves it, she is able to lay down, and see out the window with hers.

Lucky you.. I wish I could put mine in a little basket. Tate would eat the basket then jump out of it and tangle himself up in the safety strap. Or vice-versa.

| OMG! She is too adorable. I thought when you said basket it was a woven basket but that is the same one Tate had as pup. I think it's probably the best one because it has the big piece that braces it against the seat for stability. Too cute!

| Genghis Box This is what we have Genghis ride in, which we call his box. He loves it, every time we go out we say "Genghis, get in your box!" he jumps in and we go! Both photo's were taken after a yorkie meetup where Genghis played around and rolled around with his buddies. He was exhausted!! and Dirty! |

| Talk about timing! i was just asking honeypaute what she used for a seatbelt, and she said ask the forum, and it's already here! I, too, have tried about 5 different things, none work great (i have a 9 lb poodle and 5 lb yorkie). but the basket in the picture is so much more stable than the ones they have at petsmart and petco. do you have the brand name? |

| I tried other look-out car seats for the girls, but they kept hanging over the side and we would have to stop quite often to put them back in. I finally bought the look-out full bench seat and now they have all the room to stretch out and be more comfortable. We just love it!

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | My dog will stay in it as long as she's not in the sun. She will hop out to go to a place in the shade I don't blame her. She likes to prop her head on the side with one foot and look at me while I drive.

| We use the snoozer car seat. We bought the oversized one and both of my Yorkies ride in it. They wear their harnesses and then there is a strap that attaches to it and also the seatbelt (which is also holding the carseat secure). One of the harness straps came with the carseat and I ordered an extra one. We absolutely recommend it. LOVE it!
