| I got a Bully Stick, ha,ha,ha,ha,ha Well, am I pleased as bunch with AMD's bullysticks and so is Buddy, as you can see. Thanks to Linda (moose'smom) I gave Buddy a second chance with them. Some time ago I purchased some from our pet store and he got fresh with them, growling at me and guarding it, so in the trash it went. I was nervous to give it a second try but I did. They arrived yesterday, such fast delivery only 3 days, and I sat on the floor and held it for 15mins encourageing him to share. I am proud to say he did. I continued to touch it while he chewed on it. It took him exactally 1hr to buzz threw 6" of a 12" stick He was tired after and fell asleep. I gave him the rest this am. Here are pictures of Bud chewing on his new found friend the BullyStick. Thank's Linda for your recommendation and thanks Alyssa for such a great product. |

| Oh Carol....great pictures!!! I am happy that you are happy with them. Like I said before, Moose wants us to hold it for him, but Mimi will growl and run and hide with hers. So now when we give it to her, we pick her up and put her on our lap and hold it for her and let her chew on it. (until my carpal tunnel gives me fits, then I have to let her go hide with it!! ) We are petting her and stoking her the whole time. She too, is now getting better. BTW...someone said to put the 1/2 chewed bullies in the freezer until you give it to them again, so no bacteria can grow on it. I have been doing that too. I need to order more!!

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Carol those are awesome pics of Buddy! He looks sooo happy chewing on his bully sticks. I like AMDs bully sticks because the don't smell at all. Linda I never knew to put the chewed ones into the freezer..but a good idea. I had to laugh how fast Buddy went through 6"...lol...Izzy takes weeks to get down to 6" on hers.

Wow who would have thought to put the unused portion in the freezer. Thanks for that info. He went threw the rest of it yesterday. I'll only give it to him on the weekends since I work all week. I'm happy to see Miss Izzie goes through it as fast. I always thought Buddy was like a buzz-saw.

| Someone said they don't smell. Is this correct? I bought my babies them 1 time from our local pet store and oh boy they smelled horrible. My kids were just laughing and running away. It was gross. I felt bad because I had to take them away but my babies loved them. I think I will try these.

That's true. It's amazing but they do not smell at all. I tried sniffing it and nothing.

| Hello, I just ordered some bully sticks from an online store. They have not arrived yet, but after reading this thread I have a couple of questions. Do I need to keep bully sticks in the freezer when not in use? Do some bully sticks smell really bad? Angus' Mommy Jeanne |

No you don't have to keep them in the freezer. I was told to store them in a ziploc type bag in the cabinet & I've never had any problems.

Yes, some smell disgusting! Hopefully the one's you have ordered won't. I never knew about the freezer but member's said to store the UNUSED portion in the freezer to prevent bacteria from growing on it. I would put it in a zip lock bag until it can be finished. The ones that have not been chewed on can be stored anywhere. Also when it get's down to about 2" throw it away. You don't want your Yorkie to choke on it.
