Doggy armoire? I'd like to get Thor some kind of closet for his clothes. He doesn't even have that many (relatively speaking), but you know, better to be prepared! I found one that looks cute: http://www.pampered-dog-gifts.com/si...E-SohoWardrobe What do you guys think. Anyone have other suggestions?? |
I am looking for the same thing... The one you found is cute!!! |
And I like the color. A lot of the time they make them in pink or baby blue which is just NOT neutral! |
I found a couple more in non-pastel shades: Amber's Armoire Unique Pet Products, Armoires, Furniture, Beds, Dog Clothes, Apparel, and Fashions Pucci's Armoire - $499.00 : Pucci's Palace, Store This is the best price I found for the Soho: http://www.pawshop.com/soblfidoarcl.html I'd be interested to know if anyone has any of these, or recommends another one. |
That is super cute! I love that it has a shelf type area to put stuff on top. Lilly just has her own closet in my sewing room. |
Those are SO cute...but YIKES!! $200.00...$499...??? I wonder if you could find one for a doll or something like that at say.Michael's? Or any other large crafty shop like that. They sell a lot of wooden furniture for dolls and small bears. I wonder if they have something like that, then you could just paint it how you'd like it. I'm sure it would save you $150.00 or more! |
I'm totally non-crafty, so I need to get stuff as is. However, I wouldn't be surprised if a child or doll armoire would be a lot cheaper. Things seem to get very expensive when the word "dog" is put in front of it. |
Check out this one: 16 inch WOODEN DOLL ARMOIRE WARDROBE, HANGARS, DOLL CLOTHES - Medicine Hat Toy & Games For Sale - Kijiji Medicine Hat It's a little bit "used", for lack of a better word...but hey, it's $20.00! Too bad you aren't in Medicine Hat, Canada! lol! I'm still searching for you! |
My favorite is definitely the SOHO and it looks like you found a good price! I found it on ebay here, but I'm not sure how much shipping would cost: Studio Soho Wardrobe Closet - eBay (item 280305339696 end time Apr-22-09 09:20:11 PDT) This one is really cute too, not sure how you feel about the white. The price includes shipping. : Savannah Wardrobe Hope you find one that you like :) I think it's a great idea! |
Petedge has the SOHO collection: PetEdge: Search Results really good prices. I wanna get it for Mimi & Momo too.:D |
I got my sister one of the old style steamer trunks like you see in old movies but it was for doll clothes. She got a second for winter and summer wardrobes. :) Kinda like this: DOLL STEAMER TRUNK, but I found a cheap reproduction on ebay. |
The SOHO Armoire is on sale at Petedge for 99.00. The matching bed is also on sale for 89.00. I purchased Laceys furniture from the: The Hautehound.com They sale them in pink, blue, white and a Betty Boop design for $279.00. I also found the matching bed, night stand and steps from petedge. Doggie Armoire in Blue, Pink, White |
I saw this idea from a recent thread, and thought it was one of the most affordable best ideas for a dog armoire. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/1716906-post27.html |
So, I got the armoire yesterday. I was a little surprised that it didn't ship assembled, since the dimensions of the box containing the parts was fully as large as the finished product. Some of the edges were slightly damaged, and it came in twenty pieces, with no assembly instructions. I put it together in about two hours. I had to use a power drill. The finished product looks exactly like the pictures, so now that the assembly is over, I'm happy. I'm still waiting for my doggy hangers to come, so I can't really use it yet. I'm still excited, though. :) |

I'm not sure how much your doggy hangers cost or if you wanted them for a specific reason but I buy Lilly's hangers at Wal-Mart and Target for like $1.00 for 10 hangers - just the baby hangers. |
