Best tear stain remover??

Does anyone know of a good and safe tear stain remover?

I have been using Angel Eyes for the last few weeks and it has worked really well for us. His tear stains have faded drastically and tearing has mostly stopped. Eventually I want to discontinue use of it as I have heard that it has an antibiotic in it and.. well it's expensive.

There are many Yt'ers who use other methods that have worked for them. Some add Apple Cider Vinegar to their drinking water, and others give distilled water. Neither of these worked for us, but I wish you good luck.

Angel Eyes does work well, there corporate office is next to my store.

It comes in three flavors beef, chicken, and Sweet Potato, you just sprinkle it on their food.

I heard Angel Eyes was bad. I didn't do any research just read a bit on the forums, it is like an antibiotic so I wouldn't give it to your dog long term.

Edit: Just thinking out loud here, but if the antibiotics kill the tears, doesn't that mean there is a chance the bacteria could eventually develop a mutation that makes them no longer susceptible to the antibiotic? Therefore, Angel eyes wouldn't work anymore and I think you would have even a worse case than you did in the beginning. I'm not sure exactly how Angel Eyes works, so maybe that is wrong. I heard some where that it was an antibiotic, though.

that has an antibiotic so would not use that in a yorkie as they have digestive issues and tylan powder is the lowest dose antibiotic in that and if you use for cosmetic reasons it may not work if you have something more serious like ibd or colitis

i do not believe they can even sell in canada and england due to there being an antibiotic in it and only can be in us without a prescription - would not use antibiotics for cosmetic purposes. Tear staining is bacteria build up due to the ducts being blocked so using spring bottled water in stead of tap helps not to get minerals in ducts thus clogging them. The way opthamologist know if ducts are blocked is if they put dye in the duct and it comes out the nostril and how quickly - if your see large tear drops then usually that is a sign of blocked tear ducts. Best to do spring water and keep eyes clean - I like eye envy as it is witch hazel, colloidal silver and one other ingredient that is escaping me but all are natural

Do you know what's in it? It says it, "Works to weaken the bacteria", but I can't find the ingrediants. Here's a good website that discusses the causes of tearing, and some of the remedies.
