johnson & johnson has any body tried bathing their yorkie with j&j baby shampoo? if so.. is it okay to do so? im just wondering since its really sensitive |
I have found it to be drying, but I do use it on the head and face because it is tear free. |
I have been using it on My maltese to help wash away tear stains... |
What do you use on her body? What kind of conditioner...comb....brush etc. works best?? Lily is starting to really mat and she won't let me comb her at all and I fight to brush her as much as I can!! She is 14 weeks old??? I have been using baby shampoo all over her and she does scratch alot.....I have used a few kinds of conditioners but still mats and she still scratches?? I feel like she is rinsed good?? THANKS!! |
I really use just a regular dog shampoo on Lucy. However I bought white shampoo on the advice of the pet store I bought the shampoo in. They said sometimes colored shampoo can stain her white fur.. I dont have issues with mats. I have always brushed Lucy by standing her on the kitchen table. She always holds perfectly still if I do that. other wise she wiggles to much. |
I suggest you check out the grooming forum, there's lots of great information on shampoos. Yorkie Grooming Talk - YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community |
I do use J&J shampoo around their faces. But, I did have an exhibitor/breeder tell me it is very drying and use it only around the eyes. I use other shampoos and conditioners, some human, other pet, on the rest of their bodies. |
you are not suppose to use human products on there hair, the ph is different and if you do it to many times you will find the hair and skin drying out. If you are in a bind and only have it, then 1 time will not hurt but don't use it all the time. I use tropiclean shampoo and cond and then I use silk spirits protein serum. |
Mufasa has had 2 baths since I got him and we used J&J both times. I guess maybe I should get something else. |
