| It might be because of insufficient memory on your computer or that you are running too many processes at the same time. Try ALT + CNTRL + DELETE, click on process and if you have more than 45 processes.. try closing a few windows on your desktop. If that doesn't work, it might be because you have a lot of spyware and hidden attributes that were placed in your folders by certain websites. You can download http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-...bj=dl&tag=top5 to delete all of those bad folders on your computer and it might help it run a little faster. After you download that and let it check your system, you should go to: Tools > Internet Options > Clear History Then, you can Delete Files. That always helps my system! I hope it works for ya. |

| The broadband cable service in my area was terrible. It always went down and had lots of net congestion. I think someone in my neighborhood is leeching all of the bandwidth. Anyhow, the connection was also bad at routing to other locations which means it communicates slower with other servers. The DSL connection I have now routes fast and is 10x more reliable than the cable connection I had. That's only in my area. I know a friend that has a cable connection that kicks my DSL's butt. If worse comes to worse, you can switch over. Complain enough to your cable ISP and they'll probably hook you up with a free month or two (they did for me when I complained I had practically no service for two weeks). Since it's only the Petsmart website your having problems with.. your connection is probably having trouble communicating with their service provider. It'll probably fix itself after some time. I seriously doubt it's a memory issue as memory will cause the whole computer to drop its performance. The issue has to do with your connection if it only affects one website. Having lots of memory is good though. Also, as natalie suggested, you should check your computer for any spyware that may conflict with your system by getting Ad-Aware from lavasoftusa.com |

I've used Ad Aware for about 3 years now and love it - I niticed this morning I'm having server problems with Outlook so I have a feeling I have a glitch somewhere - but THANKS Natalie - I'm one of those people that tries everything first - then I ask - I wish your solution helped ....and I appreciate the feedback - I have a ton of memory -I re-partitioned my C & D Drive a while back but haven't had problems.... and made no changes to the computer lately - PETCO works GREAT - wonder what that's telling me ?
