| car seats Okay, I know I've been kind of a bad mommy and spoiled Chip a lot, but he typically rides on my lap when we go somewhere. I know it's not safe but he lets out this reeeeeeeeally annoying yip if he is anywhere BUT my lap. Smokey is good and just sits in the back seat, but I need advice on a safe way for BOTH of them to ride in the car. I have a small, two door sunfire, and would like to have a way so they can be safe, look out the window, be together and be able to move a bit. Any advice? Does anyone have any tips on how to stop the annoying yips?

| I would be worried that if anything were to happen and you had to stop suddenly/quickly that they would go flying.....I have a harness for my lil one that hooks into the passenger seatbelt...and just purchased a carseat so that she can sit up higher to see out the windows but is still on a lead that hooks to her harness so that if anything would happen she is still confined.....Can't be too cautious with our lil ones...

| I have the Snoozer oversized Outlook carseat. It accomodates both my teapot Yorkies (each around 8 pounds). I have it in the microsuede coffee color and it also has a small drawer underneath to hold leashes, treats, portable water bowl, etc. We use it ALL the time. They are fastened in with harness straps....... an you have to use a HARNESS defintiely NOT a collar for this to be a safe seat. (I had to order an extra one when I purchased the seat because it only comes with one) that attach to the seatbelt. They are defintiely safer in this seat. (Check out some of the previous threads.... there was one yt member that had an accident and the seat probably saved her Yorkies life!!

| DEFINATELY Snoozer Outlook Car Seats. There is no way I could drive without them in theirs. We opted for 2 single ones instead of the oversized because... *we already had one for Mia *Max can be a little overbearing *they each could be by the window

| Well, I kinda made a temporary car seat for Meka. I do plan to buy one, but with the holidays ending...funds couldnt be any more drained... Its a crate/container type of thing. There are wholes at the bottom in which I run the seat belt through. I stuffed the crate, so that she sits high enough to see, and I put a harness on her and attach that as well. She loves it

| Shelby & Seymour are both about 8 lbs. They use an OVERSIZED one. There is also the "My Buddy" but is is quite a bit larger (the dimensions are listed on the website). As long as your Yorkies don't have a "space" issue with eachother, there should be enough room in an OVERSIZED one for both of them... to sit and lay down.

| We have the Single one and all three of my girls likes to share it. That's two 3.5 pound girls and one 9 pound girl. They just snuggle in close and are happy as sardines in a can! I attached a picture of the one I have (I don't have the water/food thing)

| I wasted my money on a car seat. Kobe hated it!!! He like to ride in the back where the back window is. When we are doing long distance travelling, I put his bed on the seat and he will lay down on it. |

| yeah get the baby carrier car seat for dogs- not sure of the exact name. But you attach it to the seat and it is high enough so they look out PLUS they are strapped in via their harness which is much better in case you brake quickly or something.
