Humans can be so cruel and heartless. Definitely prefer my dog. |

Update on sentencing I'm very disappointed in this. The judge said that he wanted to send a message. A message would have been the full 11 months, 29 days. Not just 30 days :thumbdown You can click on the link I posted below to see how people in this area feel about the judge's sentence. Dog kicker gets 30 days in jail A man involved in a bizarre dog-kicking case was sentenced this morning to serve 30 days in Jail. Chad Crawford’s lawyer had asked the court to keep his client out of jail and placed on probation because he had never been arrested before the 2004 dog case and suffered enough. Crawford punted a miniature Yorkshire terrier named Gizmo like a football at an Antioch-area apartment complex as the animal's owner watched in horror. But Criminal Court Judge Monte Watkins said it was important to send a message about animal cruelty and ordered Crawford to serve 30 days in jail day for day. A Nashville jury convicted Crawford, 27, of aggravated cruelty to an animal in October, a misdemeanor. The law has since changed to make it a felony. Under the law, the judge could only sentence Crawford up to 11 months and 29 days in jail and had to take such things in consideration as his lack of prior criminal record and his employment. Watkins ordered Crawford to serve the remainder of the 11 months and 29 days on probation. Link to comments regarding the judge's decision: http://forums.tennessean.com/viewtopic.php?t=125788 |

What!!!!!!!! You have got to be kidding. This dog got life and that sob got 30 days. What the hell is wrong with our court systems????? UGGGGGGGGGGhHHHHH! I am so upset!!!!!! If it was my dog I would take matters in to my own hands screw the court systems!!!! No one will hurt my baby!!!!!!!! |

Probably won't even serve 11 months... He will probably get out before. Isn't clear in studies of {specially} serial killers that a human (if you could call this scum that) started killing animals and then move on to people. Defenseless animals. How could he..What a SOB.. |

My husband had tryouts to kick for the Dallas Cowboys (cancelled when he broke his kicking foot 2 weeks before the tryouts) & he has been clocked kicking a soccer ball at 95mph. It sure would be nice if the 3 guys who did this had to lay their heads on his kicking tee as part of the punishment:mad: |

I suspect he will get out early as well or be put in solidary confinement. Everyone around here knows who he is and there has been many death threats against him. He would never survive being put in the general population in prison. I say put him in there with everyone else and let them dispense justice. |
