I don't see why people are judging her because she bought from a pet-store. Yeah I'm a Britney fan, so I'm gonna stand up for her, but even if I wasn't, who is ANYONE to look down on her because of where she got her pup? Does the Humane Society go and scold regular non-celebrities about where they get their animals? To inform is one, but to scold is wrong. There are other animal related problems going on in the country that are worse than where Britney got her dog from. Also, not everyone is aware of what petstores are all about. I won't buy from a petsstore, but I'm not going to judge people who do, inform them yeah, but not judge. How many people on here alone bought from a petstore because they either fell in love with the puppy, or didn't know about puppy mills? Also, so what if she got the pup in 30mins. She obviously decided she was getting a new puppy, otherwise I don't think she would've went to the store. I'm sure that theres TONS of noncelebrities who bought a puppy on spur of the moment. On the video when she got the puppy you could tell she cares for it and it seems like she was already attached, and to me I think that's what matters most. |

I agree! I wonder how we would all feel if our Lives were on the constant blogs of all our wrongs and rights. The one with NO FAULTS should cast stones. |

In my opinion she had problems way before this ever happened. She has 2 or 3 dogs and 2 kids she can barely take care of. I could careless about her. Never really liked her anyway. I am 35 sooo .. LOL I personally think her 15 min of fame were up a long time ago. I had a HUGE problem with the way she was holding the puppy!!!!! Yeah, I think a lot of us are guilty of buying a puppy from a petshop. I did it ONCE 11 years ago.You won't catch me doing it again either. |
my grip is the WAY she was handling the puppy.. I saw another post with a celb today. What I thought is. How can we y.t jam all the celb. fan sites ask them is to expose yorkies being takenand hurt. we could all take a moment to go to there sites could we help our cause?? get the attention of the media. Now that would be good jg |
I am not a fan of BS however it's her money and I would think she could do what she wants with it. As far as the Humane Society, I do support them but instead of getting on BS they should be getting into these stores and finding out where the pups do come from. Not only this store but all of them across the country and then the puppymills and back yard breeders would be stopped! They also need to give stiffer penalities on animal abuse'ers instead of a slap on the wrist which happens much to often on Animal Planet. |

You know people do these things daily! Thankfully she has the money to hire people to care for her dogs and kids! But you guys out there slamming her, she is just a kid herself, God only knows how her life really is! |
You know she is 24 or 25. I don't consider that a kid. That is a person that SHOULD be old enough to know how to act. I was married at 22 and had my first child at 25. I am still married to the same man 13 years later. Someone said she has the money to pay someone to take care of her kids and her dogs. You are right about that she does. That is a good thing because at least they are getting attention from someone. I am not bashing her because she bought a dog from a petshop. I made the same mistake myself. She is old enough to know that you don't carry a small puppy like a handbag. Most celebrities buy small dogs as just another addition to the wardrobe. |
If celebrities will STOP buying from pet stores, that will help (a little) with all the puppy mills.....it is just sad. I have seen her old the little Yorkie (on tv news shows) in one hand while juggling a hand full of other items (cell, drink, wallet) in another.....barely looks like the little Yorkie is safely clutched. A show last night showed her at a beach in her bra and panties and her guard was running w/ her back to the car carrying the little Yorkie in one hand while he was running and blocking the cameras. Poor baby!!! :cry8: |
I cant believe the humane society made her a marter (sp)for this. SOOO many millions of people buy from pet stores and they pick on Brittany? I feel what you all are saying and am not taking up for Brittany in this case. I am just baffled with why the Human Society would even go on record for the press for her when so many other people have done it before her and thas just not right. To me thas just wrong cause they need to make sure the general public know where these pets come from. I didn't know until I looked for my Yorkie. Thas 33 years of ignorance that is not my fault, which could have easily led to a puppymill purchase, especially before the internet came along and if i had enough money. I would have thought the safest thing was a pet store even at 33 years of age.. Now I am 34 and educated i know better. DO more dateline and 20/20 investigations. |
I feel bad that britney is always getting put down... but she does have two children and other dogs that she doesn't seem to care about. I went to one of those petstores in New Port Beach, CA " Fashion Island", the store is called Pets. It was a horrible place! All these puppies were in tiny little glass boxes stacked on eachother. As soon as I saw the yorkie "cage" i started crying... there was 5 puppies crammed into one tiny box... on the floor was a metal grate so their bathroom could drop underneath... I'm glad britney could save one of those puppies, but I hope she takes good care of the yorkie. |
Eh, she buys dogs.... who cares? So do all of us. At least in her case, she has people who take care of her responsibilities for her. Normal people do not. As for the Puppymill idea. I think whats worse than puppy mills are people who get yorkies, lose them, feed them little so they stay small, breed them even though they aren't breeders (but not necessarily "milling" them), and people who cast away their dogs because they "can't" have them. I'm more outraged at people who don't think about long term care and shelter for their dogs!!!!! Don't buy a dog if a: you dont have the funds to keep it healthy, b: don't have your own home, and most importantly c: You don't have the time to invest in training your dog to be a good citizen. So as far as BS supporting mills buy buying from a petshop, lets think about the other people who buy their dogs from friends who just decided to breed. At least, Brit has the money to make sure they are well taken care of. Not that I am justifying her.. Im just miffed about bad dog owners.. and Britney loves her pets and she doesn't take care of them someone more responsible does ( I hope)! |
