Maybe only 10 people saw the newspaper article but how many people saw E! Entertainment and Access Hollywood? Those are nationally syndicated shows. |
we get both shows in Canada too! A dog is not the newest fad! |
 Not a "happy" face in the bunch!!!! They not only look sickly and sad, they look poorly groomed. Opportunists make me sick!!! |
This is one tough crowd. On a postitive note :) IMO, based on the website, and the articles and the teeny tinies she has kept for herself, I think she is reputable. None of her breeding females were under 4 lbs and I think her adults and the puppies were beautiful and well groomed. The only one who looked "camera shy" was Teaspoon who is not even one of hers. She is merely advertising her for a friend. I agree with Pat about having to "return" a puppy upon the discovery of a genetic defect and how unfair that is but it seems that the majority of contracts I have read have that provision including several breeders that are members here. :( |

This thread is very upsetting to me.....for different reasons than what all have you have posted... Danville IS a small town....very small by most standards...the person writing the story used poor judgment in using the phrase "teacup"....if you see her site you will see she does not use that term. This little town was proud that one of their own was singled out on TV. I have been to this breeders home, spent more than 10 different occasions with all her dogs...including grooming times. I have met her husband and seen first hand the care they take with their babies. First and formost these are well kept home raised babies. They live, eat, and sleep with Renotta. These are her children. If the pictures make them look unhappy...right....it is my fault...most all the pictures were taken by me a photographer hobbiest. Sorry, if they weren't up to anyones standards. Blame that on me. I personally have been at her home when she grooms them....they are rotated and all are bathed at least once a week. That includes ears being cleaned, teeth brushed, and nails done. They are taken in for regular yearly teeth cleaning....yes I checked with her vet....... before I bought 3 babies from her. As my 3 babies are from her....Layla, Roxy, and Bandit all 3 are in perfect health as per my vet ( top in her class from Ohio State School of Vet Medicine one of the top programs in the country). I checked Renotta's facility out and her practices of record keeping. Roxy was very sick from stress and depressed from missing her old home (as per my vet) when she first was shipped...nothing anyone could have anticipated...Renotta was one state away at the time and took my calls at all hours and put calls in to all her breeder friends looking for anything to help us out..... Thank goodness. I also was there the day Jake came to pick up her puppy and got to meet with her....she is as devoted to her babies as anyone of you. She had just lost an itallian greyhound to a fluke kidney peoblem and had finally got herself to the point of getting another baby. A Yorkie. She is so happy with her and loves her so much she takes Baby June everywhere with her. Her 3 are her only children and her mother even hand knits them sweaters...like they need them in LA. But they are her "grand babies". |
Oh no! My mom emailed me this thread and it's breaking my heart. You guys, Renotta is my breeder. I love her. She's absolutely amazing. She is really weird about having her bitches too small.. I should know. Her most bautiful and prized yorkie, Mikka, isn't allowed to breed because she's too small. Our babies are amazing. And Renotta works her butt off to choose good dogs to breed. She DOES literally sleep with all her babies. I am distraught to see that everyone has so quickly responded negatively. When Roxy freaked out about being shipped, Renotta called us EVERY DAY. She also called her other breeder friends to find out anything she could about shipping stress. She also refuses to ship puppies now that are less than 12 weeks old because she doesn't want that to happen again. She cried when we were telling her about this, guys. She's incredible compassionate. Some of her friends ask her to advertise for them on the site. Teaspoon is a friend's dog, and she has had puppies, etc. from friends on her site. She does NOT call them "teacups"! And I swear on my life she's a good person and an amazing breeder. PLEASE BELIEVE ME ON THIS ONE! |
The Real Truth About Renotta"s Yorkies Fyi: Quote:
HI EVERYONE!!!... feel a little hesitant about going on this site for judgement or subjection. I am Jake Dynnis, the girl that in trying to do something KIND for a well deserved person-- all you you have denied her. Most of you have much to judge, but have no idea what you are talking about. Here are the Facts: I met Renotta through another Yorkie owner that has sought out the BEST quality Yorkies over the years. She is an upper class woman in politics and LOVES her yorkies. She has purchased several of them(NOT FOR BREEDING) over the the years and finally came across Renotta Oliver's special dogs and is most impressed with the quality, (unlike her earlier yorkie purchases). She has 4 of Renotta's dogs. One of this person's dogs (from Renotta) attracted me ; her STUNNING yorkie named LACIE. GO see her ( yorkiecity1.com see:past puppies.) Anyways, this is how I met Renotta. I had been looking for a small yorkie for 4 years - a blonde one was my first choice. I have dealt with SOOOO many horrible yorkie breeders for these last 4 years I almost gave up on getting one. Lies about there weight , their availabilty, quality etc. And some gem breeders even steal pics from other sites to promote their own poor quality dogs. To be quite honest, I see now, it's hard to find reputable, trustworthy, quality breeders of ANY kind. About me which I think is relevant: Dog owner /lover, Recording Artist from the Midwest, Moved to LA 13 years ago, Been in the Music business my whole life and a strange turn of events changed my life. I had an Italian Greyhound pup that was diagnosed with Congenital Kidney failure at 8mos old, 4 or so years ago. I basically put my blossoming Music career aside for this dog. Did EVERYTHING I could to defy "Jack Rocket's" fate. Dr.'s told me to put him down. I refused and did research and knew my options were pretty slim. So I basically learned how to be a Vet tech- and against all odds kept this dog alive and well for 2 and a half years. (Giving him dialysis on a weekly basis/ IV /sub Q and holistic medicine, Kidney diet etc...) - through much research and specialists recommendations I gave Jack a great life. Doctor's were baffled on how Jack was still functioning under his conditions. One Dr. said, "Jake, don't know what you're doing for this dog, but G-d help you - keep doing it." I loved Jack Rocket more than life. I started making him sweaters to keep him warm and found a new hobby. Never in a million years did I ever see falling into this unique profession of mine years later. (www.jackrocketwear.com). But I did it to honor a dog who stole my heart. I was shattered putting him down when his body couldn't take anymore. I held him thru his very last breath. So it doesnt get more real than that people from this dog lover. ME. Now I don't expect ANYONE to get what I am saying. Judge and be judged. Is that what this site is for? I think it is awful to blurt out comments you know NOTHING about. Go take a trip to Renotta's HOME. Go see her CLEAN house on a typical day and watch her BATHE AND BRUSH all of her adorable dogs and then sit with her for an hour while she brushes all of their teeth! Ask HER about their sleeping arrangements and see their living conditions. Then Judge her. You have never seen a more loving and devoted Yorkie person. PICTURES you say? Since when does a yorkie breeder have to be a photographer? Yeah, ya know some people would rather spend the money on Quality care and food than new camera equiptment. But yet you will judge her on her pictures? PLEEEEEEAASE. Find a hobby. In addition to others' absurd comments: I create unique dog couture designs for dogs all across the globe now, not a profession some would admire. But I try to no let THEM detour me from my goals. I am involved with many Dog charities and would some day like to start another in Jack's name. I recently had the Honor and luxury of being chosen to be in the Golden Globe Awards Package. Some of my paying clients include Celebrities. So I was asked in advance to do some media interviews on the red carpet with CNN, E! & TV GUIDE because of my unique profession. So in all of that I included my 2 chihuahuas ( Yoda and Gigi /Ive had for a couple of years) and my new yorkie, Junebug (from Renotta) LIVE ON NETWORK. If there was any opportunity I could take to promote RENOTTA'S FABULOUS WELL TEMPERED yorkies I would. AND I DID! So stop your insinuations. You all know if I bought a dog from you - you'd want me to do the same. Renotta never asked me for anything. So judge me, not her. |

Here's a real cause you should all put your BETTER energy into: When: THURSDAY, JANUARY 26, 2006 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Where: CHINESE CONSULATE, 443 SHATTO PLACE, Los Angeles 90020 (Two long blocks north of Wilshire; 1 block east of Vermont) RSVP or for more info: Bill Dyer at 310-301-7730 or Bill@idausa.org Your presence is urgently needed at a forthcoming peaceful demonstration to protest the horrific, unspeakable treatment of dogs, cats and other wild species in China, the largest exporter of fur in the world. Undercover footage, as seen on Larry King Live (CNN) last month, documents animals being slammed against the ground or being bashed with clubs. Some animals are skinned alive and thrown onto a pile of other dead and dying animals where they continue to live for up to 30 minutes. It is imperative that we send a message around the world. The press mainly cares about the number of participants at protests, so please attend and bring your friends. Since 2006 is, ironically, THE YEAR OF THE DOG in China, we are requesting that you bring a dog with you to the demonstration, if you wish. Banners, posters and leaflets will be provided. Please keep your companion animal on a leash. Dog sanitation will be monitored. Street parking, some metered, is available (bring quarters). Please attend, rain or shine. Please visit www.furkills.org for more information. Got to "MORE" and see PICTURES of these dogs of all breeds Suffering PURE TORTURE BEING SKINNED ALIVE!!!! --while the the PITIFUL Chinese Laugh on camera about it. STOP CHINESE IMPORTS. |
The Yorkie was purchased for the occasion? I wonder if they'll buy a bichon frise for the Oscars. |
Unreal people I can't believe what I am reading here, some of you people are really slamming al lady who seems to me to be a reputable breeder but yet some of you say otherwise. Have any of you that are downing her ever met her? If not then what gives you all the right to say all these bad things? How would any of you like it if the shoe was on the other foot? Can we go by pictures? Well I checked out her site and they do not look sick, or sad or poorly groomed. Look at some of your own pictures on here and tell me they are any better. SHAME on you all for the bad things you are saying about this lady, would you say it to her face? If not then why go behind her back and say it? There is noting in there that says this Jake purchased this June Bug ( yorkie) for this occasion, so where did that come from? If this group has nothing better to do then slame someone they do not even know I am not sure I would like to be a member. Can't you all find something good to say and be glad that yourkies are getting some attention? It is not bad attention and seems to be in my own opinion good attention. For the people who have met Renotta and are on here taking a stand for her Good For You. |

That seems to be the concern of the members here who have made negative comments about this breeder, including myself. We are all entitled to our own opinions and that is what this board is full of. That being said, if you stick around longer, you will find that the vast majority of the people on this site, including some with more breeding experience than this lady, generally believe that a female under 5 pounds is too small for breeding, which is what this lady has done to set others off. I can only speak for myself, but I am sure others here will agree, you can feed the dogs out of a crystal bowl, let them sleep in a bed bigger than yours and do everything in the world for them, but it doesn't take away from the fact that you are breeding small females, which in case you have not noticed, it a big no-no in the eyes of most here on the forum. |
Well you tell me where the standards are that you should only breed 5 pound and up yorkies...... I know several breeders and they see no problem with breeding under 5 pounds, so where do you draw the line? I would guess it would be up to the individual breeder and of course the health of the dogs and so on. I know several breeders who have been breeding for 25 and up to 40 years and they say that size is not a problem. I understand that everyone has their own opinion but to down a breeder that is ovious the majority of you do not know is just wrong. I do plan on sticking around here because there is some good topics on here but it's people like those downing this lady that shows stupidity. Sometimes opinions should be kept to yourself or even talked about with others like you all have done here but do you need to go to the extremes of calling her unrepitable? And a bad breeder.....no you do not. And this is my opinion. |
Hey Sweetie! Just wanted to let you know that after reading the posts again, I am a little PISSED OFF at you. I'm not jealous of ANYONE that lives in Danville, IL. I was just stating the fact that it is a small town and their paper doesn't have millions (or even thousands) of readers so not everyone would read the misuse of the word teacup. Even if you were telling the truth about this women Renotta (good job throwing the whole "politics" thing out there.) you really did yourself a dis service by coming on this site attacking us and acting like you KNOW all of us and how much we care about animals. Have a GREAT Day!!!!! :D |
