Checking back in ......hoping there was good news.:( |
This is heartbreaking to read.. people make me sick when they have no consideration for other people.. this yorkie did not belong to them.. how can they live with themselves.. I hope the news station in the area will do a story on this.. it might help, maybe not help the thieves.. but it might make another person give them up... just a suggestion... I will add gummy and Andy to my prayers.. |
That is so sad and I do hope he gets his dog back. I know the family chose a Yorkie for their son's hope and inspiration but I don't think that a Yorkie is good for this type of work only because they will take off if given the chance. Had the family chose a Golden Retriever, it most likely would not have run off. I have a Samoyed and a Yorkie and if I open the door, they would take off like a shot even though my Yorkie is very close to me and the Samoyed is very close to my children. Good luck to the family and I pray he gets his dog back but we know how people are when it comes to stealing Yorkies. I think they are the number one stolen dog in this country. Aren't they? and the smaller they are, the more likely they are stolen. |
Wow I can't believe you said that without knowing anything about this family or child. I have been selling yorkie's for many years and I have had special needs children insist they want a Yorkie. They seem to like an animal they can cuddle and pick up. When you see these children bond with these puppies it is the most wonderful moment in the world. It makes me thank my lucky stars everyday to be able to give a child like that or anyone for that matter a gift of pure love and joy. I have yorkies that will run like the wind you let them out. But, they are just excited and want to play. I have others that I have to beg to get off my bed and go outside and than I have to stand their with them. The bottom line is this is a nightmare for this poor child and a disgrace to humanity for the people that stold Gummy. I am still crying myself over this. Lets all pray for Gummy's safe return PLEASE! |

I see no reason why the little boy cannot have any dog he wants. I was just trying to explain that some breeds are more likely to stay with their owners than others. I have found that some breeds tend to not run away. Even if they are not on a leash. Again, I am sorry for how it came out. |
keep your hopes up. hi just read about your lost furrbie, i have 2 & can not imagine life without them. i only pray that if someone has found him?her they will return your baby to you , my thoughts are with the family & especially andy, lots of luv from pauline & my furrbies pebbles & sophie. you may want to see my firrbies on the forum & it may cheer you all up xxx |
so sad  my yorkiepoo shoots out the front door like a rocket, and i can't ever sneak out. :( i am definitely looking into getting the microchip for him. it sounds like a planned scam, with the salesman at the door, with the suv closeby. they must have known there was a yorkie there. what a sick group to be able to do that. geez! :justahug: |
I have a yorkie for Andy This breaks my heart to think about what this child is going through if anyone know how to contact Andys family i have a beautiful little male that i am willing to give to him he is gonna be 12 wks on nov 25 |
Sounds like a scam. Have you tried calling the police and describing the man, and the van. I so wish your dog comes home. I worked with Special Kids in the past, and I know they are surely a blessing from God. |
