FDA Finally Investigating Nutro! |
It is just really scary. I have been feeding Welliness for a long time now and just read where another company has bought them out and there have been some reportings of dogs getting sick. Makes you so fed up because we try to give ours the best of everything. Guess I will just go to Innovia. Its hard to know what to do and what to trust. |
Great find! Thanks for posting. |
oh no, im about to get another bag of wellness this weekend . now what? |
This is horrible. How can people trust the food they feed their pets. I also feed my dog Wellness too. |
Wow, FINALLY! Crystal will be glad to see this. :) |
I'm confused Am I missing something: I thought Wellness was made by Old Mother Hubbard not Nutro. |

Nutro This needs to be put somewhere on this site so everyone will see it at signon...... This is to critical a situation to not warn everyone immediately before more furbabies are lost or poisoned... ADMIN.. PLEASE MOVE THIS TO A BETTER PLACE....... PLEASE. As a new Mommie of 2 puppies I have considered using this food and have actually told my DH he could get it if he couldn't find what we are using now. I would be devistated not knowing this important information.. I don't normally read this first page so it would be helpful in a more prominent place. Thank you, Sharon |
Does anyone have a link about Wellness being sold to another company and the reports of dogs being sick? |
Why cant i find this on the FDA website?? I feed my puppies Nutro Ultra and so obvioulsy im worried. i have been to both the FDA and Nutro website. Nutro says there is no investigation and that consumer affairs.com is reporting falsly so i went to the FDA website and cant find an open investigation against them there either. Does that mean that consumeraffiars.com is wrong? |
Here is more information concerning consumeraffiars.com FDA Probe of Nutro Pet Food according to this website the FDA probe is FALSE. |
Also had a Nutro Experience My Yorkie was eating Nutro for a long time. She was fine for a while but then I noticed her stomach was constantly bloated like she was going to explode. She vomited a few times, periodically. She also (as in the article) began having frequent accidents. She is 5 years old and I knew something was not right and you can tell that she was not acting like herself. :( Can't say it was the food but it shure as ever is a coincidence. I have since switched her back to the brand I gave her before and she seems much better. :animal36 I've also read that dog food should not contain wheat, soy, corn and sunflower because it triggers allergies in dogs. |

Ooooh, my dog loves the Nutro training bites, she will do anything for them. She does occasionally get diahrea and I was not able to figure out the cause, I was thinking it was from eating birds that the cat brings her and from eating other dogs' poop when I don't catch her fast enough. I rarely give her more that one piece at a time, I break it into smaller pieces and give it to her a little at a time. I'll have to pay closer attention. That is the only Nutro product we use though. |
