north carolina I live here their are puppy millls all around me!! I have tried to shut one down and at no avail! the judges here claim they don't have time to worry about animals there are too many poeple to prosacute! This makes me so Mad!!! We have laws in place here but they are not inforced, this puppy mill has been convected 20 times for animal cruelty /abuse and neglect. Yet I was told they can only take a dog away if he is sick or dieing, how stupid is that? I call them out on him all the time anyway, and have linked lots if info on my website about these places, I do hope at least to teach the poeple around here about these puppy mills so they won't buy from them, Blessings to all of you lets keep fighting for these babies and maybe some day things will change |

that the gal from Washington state put up? You have to skip the first couple bills - but they spend a long time discussing their breeder bill. (I listened while I did some other things - because it is long - but very informative) This is really where it needs to start in every state. At the top - because too many places, the law officials won't do anything & if they do raid a mill - the courts do little or nothing to those horrid people |
All 93 yorkies were taken to the St.Louis humane society. And they said they will be ready for adoption in a week or so. At this point they just need to shave all of them and then they will be able to see if they are dealing with any other problems with them. They don't know how long most of them had been WITHOUT food & water. I just pray the adoption fee will be an amount people can afford right now so we can get all these babies into good loving homes. I told my husband maybe we need to move to the country so I can adopt more yorkies. We live in town and already have 6 furbabies. (only suppose to hve 3, so we are careful not to let them all out at the same time lol) |

I have tried, but I guess I don't have enough posts to start a new thread. I am sorry if my posting here has been a problem. |
here's the link to St. Louis humane society Humane Society of Missouri - www.hsmo.org |
I think Michelle from our rescue is going to call because we have a license for MO. I also called and left my personal info. I told them I would foster or adopt and would make the trip to St. Louis to pick them up. |

Or you could PM some info & I'll start a new thread in News |
Back on the topic of what's up with the puppy mill in Washington... One of the handful of cats from these "breeders" was brought in to the hospital where I work just yesterday. His ears were badly disfigured-- as far as we can tell, someone had DOCKED his ears in an attempt to make him look like a Scottish Fold. The poor baby had an amazingly his sweet disposition-- I would have taken him home with me if we didn't already have three pets in an apartment that only allows two! He's at Meow Cat Rescue and cleared for adoption now if anybody is looking for a new furkid. |
Were they breeding cats too, or were these family pets? Did these people even have pets? Wow - that sounds weird -- I've never stopped to think about if a puppy mill owner would have a pet  -- I think how could they have a pet -- how could you treat one animal like a pampered princess and the other animals in your house, like these porr animals were treated |
If they were breeding cats, it was probably on a really small scale-- I think they only pulled about half a dozen from the mill. But this cat that we saw yesterday with the cropped ears was about 3 years old and unaltered, which would lead me to believe that he wasn't a housecat... I don't even know what they would have been thinking doing that to a cat... but I guess it is pretty useless trying to figure out what people who obviously have no sense could have been thinking. |
1 Attachment(s) :(I am in Shock right now... I do not have TV so I am just learning about this puppy mill! I know about puppy mills I was so careful, I did my research, I know not to buy from a pet store or the internet, or the paper. So I called my best friend to find where she got her yorkie three years ago... Renee Roske at wags n wiggles! I am sick i bought my baby yorkie in september of 07 from this monster, she is evil she has all the right answers there were a few red flags but I thought all in all she knew a lot about this breed and really took care of these guys her house and yard were spotless, I feel like a fool. I do have a precious yorkie with a heart murmur and various other ailments out of this, I just feel sick I gave this woman 1600.00 to help in her disgusting business. Is there anything I should have my vet look for in my yorkie??? |
Mlb, don't worry, you are not the only victim of her fraud. I was not stupid buyer, trust me, I did know a lot about yorkies, and I passed maaaany breeders because I catched them on lie. But she asnwered for all my questions... She knows how to fool people. Check for luxating patellas, asthma, she breeds her dogs with those genetic problems. Your pup is still young, luxating patellas can hurt your dog in the future. Read more: Wags & Wiggles Teacups User Reviews - Snohomish, WA 98290 - Citysearch |
