Skagit Co. hit with puppy mill lawsuit from Rescue orgqnization Skagit Co. hit with puppy mill lawsuit | Local News | KING5.com | News for Seattle, Washington video of the story at link Skagit Co. hit with puppy mill lawsuit 06:01 PM PDT on Friday, April 3, 2009 By ROB PIERCY / KING 5 News MOUNT VERNON, Wash. -- An animal rescue group that urged Skagit County law enforcement to shut down two puppy mills is now suing the county. The lawsuit deals with 40 dogs seized from the smaller of the two puppy mills raided by deputies in January. The dogs are being cared for the group Saving Pets One at a Time (SPOT). They say the costs are adding up and they haven't been paid. "Just because SPOT came in and said they'd assist doesn't mean they're doing it for free,” said Adam Karp, the attorney representing SPOT. SPOT is asking for more than $20,000. "Something reasonable for supervision, food, care,” said Karp. "We dispute how much it is, (and) in fact, whether or not we owe it," said Skagit County Prosecutor Rich Weyrich. Weyrich says he believes some of the money may be for medical procedures that aren't necessary. "I say that probably isn't a good use of public funds,” said Weyrich. Karp disagrees. "I think it's a valid expenditure of tax funds when the whole the point of animal cruelty laws is to eliminate suffering of animals, and if that requires paying a vet, that's what you do,” said Karp. SPOT's attorney says the group did receive cash donations, but says most of that money was earmarked for the dogs seized at the larger puppy mill. A hearing on the lawsuit will be April 16. Because of the lawsuit, Skagit County has handed prosecution of the case over to Whatcom County. |

As most people already know, I filed for an Anti-Harassment Restraining Order, on March 18th, 2009, against Renee Lynn Roske and her boyfriend, David Peterson. Judge Goodwin ordered the temporary order, for two (2) weeks, and I had to come back on April 3rd, 2009 (last Friday) to get the order made good for one (1) full year. Judge Timothy P. Ryan made the Anti-Harassment Order good for one (1) full year, so it is good until April 3rd, 2010. David Peterson, who we have known for 20 years, started dating Renee Lynn Roske in September of 2008 (last year), and since I have helped with the puppy mill case against Renee Lynn Roske, I have been threatened by both her, and David Peterson. During the threatening phone calls that they made to my home and cell phones, they (Dave & Renee) have threatened to kill Brandon Hatch, Jason & Serenna Larsen (whom I have never met), and myself |
Help a journalist investigate PUPPY MILLS There is a journalist who wants to do a very in depth investigation into the puppy mill industry, and she lives here in Washington. She wants to expose them for everything they are and not leave anything out. She also wants to do an in depth investigation into the puppy mills selling to pet shops and the pet shops that are buying puppy mill puppies. She has asked to send this out to people. Below is the link to go to, if you want to help. Thanks. Fundraising — Help an independent journalist investigate PUPPY MILLS |

I read the report. This ------ can't find a nice word to describe her but a lot of bad ones. A 1,000 dollar fine and/or 90 days in jail. I sometimes wonder if God didn't make the right decision to make humans last because of the evil some have inside and after making such beauty for us to have. These threads get scary, :animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa:animal36:animal36:aimeeyork |
I missed the news yesterday:(: posted yesterday: KIRO Channel 7 News this evening. They will show the video released today, by Judge Castleberry, to the media. The video is graphic and contains the deplorable conditions of the Renee Lynn Roske Puppy Mill Raids, in Snohomish & Skagit Counties. It will show the "Pet Store" that Renee Roske had set up with pet supplies to sell, in her Panther Lake Estates home (which is a private community) along with her puppy mills, the Gold Bar house that was ran by Jason Dean Larsen & Serenna Lynn Baker-Larsen who have been charged with six (6) felony counts each of animal cruelty, the Marjorie Ann & Richard Albert Sundberg home, and the Sundberg's home in Skagit that was used as an illegal kennel. The Gold Bar home is owned by Renee Roske's sister, Mary Ann Holleman. Holleman & Roske (sisters) have yet to be charged, although there is an ongoing investigation into their puppy mills. The pictures below are of Jason and Serenna Larsen running from the Snohomish County Superior Court Building, Renee Lynn Roske-DeGraff (which is her married name) in Superior court in Snohomish County, The older couple is the Sundberg's in Skagit County Court House, and the older woman with all the dog kennels is Marjorie Ann Sundberg in her garage "puppy mill", in the private community of "Panther Lake Estates", in Snohomish, Washington. The Sundberg's live across the street from Renee Roske (thier daughter), and Mary Ann Holleman lives next door to her sister Renee Roske. The Larsen's live at: 208 ~ Skywall Drive, Sultan, WA. (I don't post the pics because all of them posted above) |
