[News] Owl Tries to carry off Terrier |
It boggles my mind how many critters try to eat yorkies...coyotes, hawks, owls, alligators... Maybe it's because they look like a bunny with that little docked tail. :D |
It doesn't surprise me at all, they are small and probably very tasty to a predator. Glad Lucy got away! |
Poor Lucy :( |
my friend was at a party with 25 people in backyard and owl came down and took maltese :( this was less than a mile from me so we are very cautious with ours in the backyard as there are coyotes, owls and hawks |
Scarey! |
What a really close call. That poor little girl must have been so scared and of course in great pain. Ocassionaly we have an owl perched in a tree out back at night and I\'m always very scared it\'s going to get one of the girls even though we go out with them. Maybe I should put the harness and leash on them at night. |
wow that is scary! |
We have Great Horned Owls here in our Yard, and needless to say my Dogs don\'t go outside. One of my all time fears! I can\'t imagine the helplessness and the terror of watching your dog taken away in the clutches or mouth of anything! I\'m sure glad she is OK! |
i live in a wooded area so we have coyotes, eagles, and owls too... so scary! im glad lucy is okay! she must be scared out of her mind! |
OMG, this is SO scary!! I\'m in AZ and I never see owls - but this just proves once again that they\'re indeed around us. Wylie is 7 lbs and Marcel is 3 lbs - so both of them are vulnerable. Scary. |
I saw a Hawk tackle a big rabbit and the hawk won and took off with that big rabbit in his claws..reminds me of the movie JEEPERS CREEPERS.. |
Poor Lucy! Thank you for posting this. I am always concerned about hawks but never gave owls another thought.....very scary!!! |
 They should get a covered exercise kennel for their puppy to make sure this won\'t happen again. |
A covered pen is a really good idea!!! ........... We have a mesh one for our x-pen. |
