[News] No Puppy For Hilton 1 Attachment(s) Paris Hilton went “ballistic” when a shop worker refused to sell her a puppy. The hotel heiress was on her way to a photo shoot when she called in at The Puppy Store on Los Angeles’ Melrose Avenue and tried to buy a Yorkshire Terrier. A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Paris wanted a puppy in the picture with her so it would look cuter. She tried to buy a Yorkie but the employee refused to sell it to her, saying it was clearly an impulse buy. “Paris went ballistic and started screaming, 'I love my puppies! I want my baby!' "However, they still wouldn’t sell her the animal.” The store had no comment on the incident. This is not the first time Paris’ animals have got her into trouble. In 2005, she angered California's animal authorities when she bought a kinkajou during a trip to Las Vegas. The 26-year-old star was eventually forced to give up the racoon-like pet, which she named Baby Luv, after it was deemed to be illegal to own as a pet. The same year, Paris was also allegedly forced to return a baby kangaroo after having it flown to the US from Queensland, Australia. |

OMG i am so glad she didnt get the yorkie:rolleyes: |
Wow, thats crazy. I'm just shocked, really. |
I applaud the pet store for this once putting the Yorkies life & well being First, rather than the money from the sale or trying to please the bratty Paris. |
i guess money cant buy everything huh???? |
Wow, I'm surprised the pet store refused to sell the dog to her. I'm happy but surprised at the same time. To this pet store -- way to go! |
What is she doing trying to buy from a pet store anyway??? She has money to buy a quality pup not a puppy mill pup and she is advertising to other's to buy at a pet shop!! :thumbdown:thumbdown She has like 7 dogs already, so maybe a responsible breeder wouldn't sell to her anyway!! She's a bad example...for everything!! |

I'm SO GLAD they didn't sell the puppy to her BUT here's what I don't get. Aren't almost all of the dogs bought at a pet store an "impulse buy"??? Because I'm going to say if you did research and stuff you would buy from a breeder. You really can't think about buying a dog at a pet store because if you thought about it for a few days someone else would come in and buy it. So that's kind of a weird excuse they gave her. Don'tcha think???? |
Food for Thought I am glad as well that the store didn't sell her the Yorkie. However, it did occur to me that the store would get far more publicity for NOT selling her the dog. Nobody would have known or cared, where she got the dog. The news media just gobbles up stuff like this. Just a thought. |
Good ... so glad she did not get to have the dog ..... you want to buy a dog so it can be a cuter pic ..... are you kidding me ???? Aarrg .... some people ..... |
I think this was a publicity stunt for the pet shop if the employee cares so much about animals what is she doing working at a pet shop!!!! |
What happend to the other yorkie she had? I know she and Britney both bought one about a year ago. I suppose it's grown up now and not as cute so she has discarded it. I stronly dislike that woman and I'm glad that someone has stood up to her. Heck! she could have bought the entire store, I hope they would refuse to sell that tro her also. |

Well, If she was normal she could have had the local humane society supply her with cute pups (supervised of course) and it would have been a win/win situation for the photo shoot as well as publicity for the humane society. But she is not normal. I don't care how much money you have, it can never buy you class. |
I am sooo proud of the store owners!!! GOOD FOR THEM! I am happy to see that they would recognize that she just wanted the puppy for the photo shoot, and didn't want the puppy to actually love!!! AND no matter how much money SHE has, they still said no! :congrats: To the Store Owners!! We Thank You!!! Darlene :animal-pa :animal-pa :animal-pa :animal-pa |
Its just far too obvious how little regard she has for animals. Pet shops support puppy mills. Where does she think these dogs came from? How about getting some education on the subject, standing up and saying, "I supported an industry that is cruel to animals and I am sorry. in respect to the gazillion puppy mill dogs I have, I want the world to know what really goes on in a puppy mill and I will never buy a dog from a pet store again." Someone needs to fedex her a copy of the Opera puppy mill special. Geez. I really wish she would use her fame for something good and she clearly likes animals. I am sure her pets are well taken care of. |

ßhe is a low life I totally agree: "she has like 7 dogs already, so maybe a responsible breeder wouldn't sell to her anyway!! She's a bad example...for everything!!" __________________ Thank you Pet STORE FOR PROTECTING THIS DOG! JUDIE:animal-pa |

I thought that she was an animal rights activist? Or at least contributed to helping animal rights? Somethin along those lines.. |
So what: you are SCHEDULED to do a photo shoot (not that something like that comes up unexpectedly) and you all of a sudden think;) about how a puppy would make it look cuter????? Ever heard of planning ahead and then bringing one of the dogs you already own? What a total looser! I've never liked her and her ditzy demeanor but this just proves again how dumb she truly is. If someone truly loves animals they will leave them in their natural environment (like the poor kangaroo):thumbdown:thumbdown |

I also agree....the photo session surely was not a 'spur of the moment' thing, so she knew ahead of time. AND yes, the humane society or local shelter or something should have been included where they could advertise the wonderful jobs they do and find homes for some of those poor babies...plus, put a face to some of them in a photo w/ Paris! Really....want happened to her other Yorkie? Did she have one in some pictures last year? What about her other dogs? Doesn't she have like 10 or more? I remember hearing about Baby Luv....glad she/he is (hopefully) in a better place..buy she (nor anyone) shouldn't have been allowed to purchase an exotic animal like that to begin w/....and a kangaroo...seriously??!! |
She's a fruit cake. Thank goodness they had the good sense not to sell her a POSSESSION. What happens when she gets tired of them. Oh, well they are just dogs. I hate that expression. |
Definitely not a fan of either Paris or pet-stores/mills. I'd guess and say that Paris' pets are well cared for by someone other than her. I'd also guess that the store is simply out for publicity as, chances are their animals come from mills, clearly making their best interest not their priority. |
Does she still have Tinkerbell????? |
