Well since you saw fit to ask...1st post WAS rather informative, 2nd post WAS about chicken feet and other yukky things people eat, 3rd post was a memory - no more and I DID say we should go back OT - That would be ON TOPIC, 4th post was keeping with the conversation and the 5th post was for YOU...Didn't see you jump on anybody else for THEIR chicken stories...why did you single me out....hmmm...??? And offensive and vulgar...I answered her questions just as well as anyone else did. Didn't your momma ever tell you that if you don't have something nice to say to not say anything at all...???

| Hey she started it...not me...I was trying to be helpful...found this...you might NOT want to cook the chickens feet as cooked chicken bones are harmful...they splinter. I am pretty sure there are chicken bones in chicken feet so I would not cook them. This is one of the biggest myths of all time! Raw chicken bones are fantastic for your dog. They are soft enough so that they bend easily, and break well for the dog to digest. On the other hand, cooked chicken bones can be a problem, and I recommend that you DON'T feed COOKED chicken bones. Some people are worried about their dog choking on bones. While such incidents are very rare (far more incidents occur with dogs choking on kibble), I encourage the feeding of bigger portions of meaty bones, or if available, whole carcasses, such as whole chickens or rabbits. So could a raw chicken bone kill a dog? Well I guess that anything is possible. Certainly scientifically you can't prove a negative argument. However what we do know is that dogs have died from inhaling kibble the wrong way and choking and suffocating to death. Feeding your dog is about management of risk. No matter which path you decide to take there is always risk. There is always someone who will criticise your decision. However you, and only you can decide what is best for your dogs. Weigh up all the benefits and risks. Do your own analysis. Do your research. Do what will have the greatest overall benefit for your dog.

| And one more note on chicken feet and bones that I found. Bones. Chewing on bones is natural for both cats and dogs as they would encounter bones when eating whole animals in the wild. In healthy animals, gastric juices contain sufficient hydrochloric acid to soften bone and release the soluble lime salts their bodies need. It is important, though, to be careful about how you give bones to your pet. Small, sharp poultry and rabbit bones can get stuck in the esophagus or digestive track and require surgery to remove. Non-splintering beef shank bones are recommended for dogs. For cats, it is probably safer to add ground bone meal to their raw meat to more closely duplicate the balance of nutrients they would obtain from a whole animal. There might be small sharp bones in Chicken Feet...I don't think I would feed them to Oscar, but he can't have chicken anyway. He got really sick eating it one time and vet said never again. But anyway, hope some of this helped.

| Don't worry about it grayxie, some people will always turn things into a joke. I think its a natural response for people to turn things into a joke or think its gross when they don't actually understand the tremendous benefits of RAW. I looked about for you and I think you should clip off the toenails, run them under the tap, freeze them for 48 hours or more, defrost and feed. I hope he likes them
