Dont' know whether you would get the same kind of parasites we get here in Southern Ontario Canada, but my Rory is just getting over a bout of giardia, usually acquired by drinking contaminated water. The symptom was diarhhea, and seemed to come on suddenly. My vet tested a stool sample and that's the result and he is being treated accordingly.... and is getting better. Best of luck, RM |

I went through this with Zack a few weeks ago. It was just a 12 hour thing and I took him to the vet to get fluids and antibiotics. My vet said that gatoraid was better than pedialyte because it has glucose. I put the gatoraid in a bowl and Zack lapped it up like it was water. Hope your baby is back to normal. |
Once Bailey ate my Brown eyeliner pencil... (Of course I was UNAWARE) SO I take him to my friends BRAND NEW HOUSE WITH WHITE CARPET.... so we are there and I smell this smell like someone farted... so I say nothing... Like " hmmm someone farted" Then, like a shot Bailey runs down their hallway with the runs!!! :eek: ALL the way down the HALL!!! I was so embarrassed! But they were so nice about it, and had their own carpet cleaner,, and cleaned it right away,,and MOSt of it came up, except like one little spot... so I can understand... Ya ,then I get home and am later putting on my makeup and the eyeliner is gone, so Im looking everywhere I find it UNDER THE BED,, about 90% gone! :thumbdown :thumbdown |
:eek: Rrosenberry! That story is sooo funny! Embarrassing, I can imagine, but still funny. Glad to hear everything cleaned up ok. LOL. UPDATE ON SULLY: (for those of you who have been wondering) Sully seems to be all better now! He only had that few minutes of horrible diarhea, and then he was fairly lethargic for the rest of Sunday. Yesterday (Monday) he felt a little better and started playing with his toys and actually ate a decent dinner last night. Today, he's been drinking as fast as I can fill up his water bowl and has eaten all his lunch and dinner already! And he's been happy to play and run around. I don't know what caused his sickness....but I am very happy to have my little buddy back! He's just so much fun! :p |
I just now saw this and I'm so glad he's better now - we've had the same experiences and really never know what causes it ....but boy... when it happens - the WHOLE house knows it - They get this miserable little look on their faces when they get stinky and it practically melts me....I'm glad you have your Sully back to normal - Chanel wants him to know she got LOTS of butt-baths... and after a while those 2 words are pretty good to hear ! Cheri says she doesn't think so though ...she's telling Sully to run if he hears his mom saying that |
hello passionfruition, i had the same problem with my little baby bert and he had the diarrhea but it was because i fed him canned dog food but my advice is to call a vet and explain the situation to them and if she says to come down there to check it out then you can do that but if it were me i would be devistated not trying to put you down but i will put you in my prayers. and i will be praying for your baby. yours truly, Bert13 |
