For those of you that give carrorts as treats(i read that someone freezes them), do you give the baby carrots? Do you worry they'll choke on them they are so small?

I give them the baby carrots, shredded carrots, and carrots chopped into bite sized pieces. I used to give them the whole carrots like Cesar says so they can chew it like a bone but I was worried they would choke on those.

I use whole carrots cut in half then I freeze them. I give them baby carrots as treats cut into bite sized pieces unfrozen.

I use baby carrots, cut up big carrots and I freeze them for teething puppies. They love them.

I give mine baby carrots also. When the puppies were smaller I'd cut the carrots into pieces but now that they're bigger they each get a whole one and they have no problem. I suppose if you have a 'gulper' you'd have to cut them up

I give her small chunks. I am not sure about giving a whole or a baby carrot though.

Tara, I put them in a small bowl chopped up tiny with a little water and microwave them, it softens them quite a bit, I let them cool and they chow!! I also let them drink the juice/water left in the bowl as I heard the water does draw out some of the vitamins, but with Bella trying to swallow everything whole I too was scared of her choking...this way they are softer.

Our dogs love baby carrots. I cut them in quarters as all (four) of ours are under 14 pounds (Min-Pins) and one Yorkie-Chi is 10# and the last but not least Yorkie-Chi is under 5#. All of them love the carrots and know it is carrot time when they hear the fridge door open around noon time.

Rocky loves baby carrots he lays down and holds it between his paws and chomps away i only give it to him while im home.

after reading this thread i gave all 4 of my babies baby carrots...they all loved them!
how many can they have a day of the little baby carrots?

I've been giving Lewis carrots ever since we got him. I use fresh baby carrots and just chop them into tiny bits. He loves chewing on them.
