| Confused about dog food I am confused about what to feed Tyson he came home with Eukanuba but then i went to get Sience diet; he likes it. my baby is greedy and i am not sure if that is the best food for him; my brother who breeds Roties say Pro paln is the best. HELP ME what do you all think? I am trying to switch 'cause he is getting fat and I think its the food. |

| Well, Bella came home with Eukanuba and I just kept her on it. I've heard great things about it and she seems to enjoy it and its keeping her happy and healthy. Maybe you should try going back to it since the breeder feed it to him as well, they must think its good for him too.

| I began feeding Eukanuba..but I changed because the vet told me it's not the greatest..it has by products in it..since I have fed Royal Canin33 which alot of people love and then I switched to Innova.because the RC was making Maximus itch..also Natural Balance is really good..check our the whole dog food journal list of good foods they have a list of good foods and bad foods..let me see if I can link it Whole Dog Journal's picks. They base their choices on quality of ingredients. All the choices are human grade except the nutro ultra, which is new in 2005. | LOL...I know plus Iams does REALLY BAD animal testing..another member told me about it..and it is posted a few days back in the heatlth and diet section..RC33 was really good and almost every dog likes it but it made Maximus itch but he's not in love with Innova the way he was with RC..I add the natural balance rolls which he loves..lol..so much that he got a little chubby from them and his kibble..lol..bad mommy..lol..he gained a lb. in a week..so that has been shelved for a while..lol..only kibble and treats. Blue Buffalo and RC can be purchased at Petsmart but Innova has to be through a dealer..if you go to their website and put your zip in they give you the closest location..it is a bit of a pain.. ..I may try Blue Buffalo..it's supposed to be really good and it's on the list and it's closer to home..

| Bella is finishing up her Royal Canin but itching a lot and others said the Royal Canin does that. She eats the Natural Balance Beef log and Lamb log, so I decided to switch to the Natural Balance Duck and Potato and she LOVES it

| I personally recommend Innova/Innova EVO. (Evo is great for small breeded dogs as well). You can compare the ingredients on their website, and find stores that sell it in your area. i personally do no like Iams/Eukanuba not only of the animal cruelty testing they do, but because the ingredients in their products are plain junk and full of fillers. that's why the dogs like it so much. www.naturapet.com |

| What my Vet Said Well, I just bought my dog last month and he came home with health extension. My vet explaneded to look at the first few items that is in ingredients and if it starts wtih corn or by products not to use it. He suggested 1. Iams 2. Science Diet and 3. Eckunba *dont know how to spell this* He is really pickey right now and isn't eat much sad to say, i'm still playing around with what he likes. He wasn't thrilled with the Iams I tried the Science Diet today and he ate the whole bowl. The wet food is he also very pickey about. I dont know whats the best but just telling you what my vet said! |

| Maggie started out on Iams, then went onto Pro Plan Small Breed Puppy. I have two heelers and they both are on Pro Plan and it works great for the bigger dogs, but not for Maggie. She now eats Royal Canin 33 and is in better shape than she has ever been.
