More Information..... :) Ok, here goes..... I worked at an elementary school for 13 years - same school two locations. At the "old school" we had pea gravel instead of grass - and occasionally the pea gravel wound up swallowed, in ears and up noses (go figure). At the "new school" we had wood chips -- the kids wound up with lots of splinters. We would have rather had nice green grass, however, grass wouldn't withstand the wear and tear of playground activity of 500+ kids every day. My personal opinion -- buy the house if you like it, have the chips removed and get some nice natural sod. :) Once again, I feel like you are to be commended for doing your homework and being so concerned about the health and safety of your furbutts. :doghouse: GOOD LUCK in finding that perfect new home! :doghouse: |
Yes I think you are right.....I was thnking Astro turf ( I still have to look into it). as I can see it "now" the house might/will work.....the porch has to go(cosmetically ) and the wood chips will have to go. But those are the only things that are really bugging me. Subject to a home inspection of course. The area is beautiful and the veiw from the house is great......but it needs a lot of cosmetic renovating (not falling apart). To bring it up to my specifications or more salable going forward. I decided to wait till Thursday to make a final decision on offering a bid and then I want them to go lower so I may have to wait another week before I bid(you know that negoiating thing). The less attention they get the better my chances:D . Tina:D |
